🏆 Manny’s Mile – Top 4 Fundraising Schools! 🏆

What a lovely visit from Manny today! 💙 He came to Spring Vale to present us with our prize for finishing in the Top 4 schools for fundraising during Manny’s Mile.

Manny presented some of our Year 6 children with a fantastic trophy and cash prize to celebrate our amazing achievement! 🎉

A huge thank you to all our children, families and staff for your incredible support and generosity in supporting Dementia UK 💙.

Today, our Year 6 pupils joined the National Literacy Trust and Birmingham poet Alan ‘Kurly’ McGeachie for a special live lesson exploring 'Poems for Remembrance'.

Kurly talked to the children about what remembrance means and encouraged them to reflect on people, memories and experiences that are important to them. He then guided them through the creative process of writing their own poems around the theme of Remembrance. 📝

It was fantastic to see our children sharing ideas, experimenting with words and beginning to create their own thoughtful poems. ❤️

A big thank you to the National Literacy Trust and Kurly for inspiring our young poets! 🌟

EYFS enjoyed an exciting visit from our local PCSO this week. They even got to try on the uniform!

💙 What a fabulous day we had on Thursday 17th September! 💙

We were incredibly proud to take part in Manny’s Mile, helping to raise money for Dementia UK and supporting Manny on his amazing challenge to complete a mile at 50 schools. 🏃‍♂️💙

Not only did the children and staff at Spring Vale Primary School join Manny as he completed his mile around our school, but every single child also took part in their own sponsored run throughout the day with their class! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

It was fantastic to see the children getting involved, cheering each other on and having so much fun along the way. The enthusiasm, smiles and determination made it a truly enjoyable and memorable day! 🌟

And we are absolutely delighted to announce that Spring Vale Primary School has raised an incredible £4,115.50! 🎉👏

This puts us 4th out of all 50 schools taking part in Manny’s Mile in terms of the amount raised — an absolutely fantastic achievement! 🏆

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful children, staff, parents and families for their incredibly generous support. Your donations have helped us make such a difference to this very important cause. 💙

We are also delighted to welcome Manny back to Spring Vale this week so that we can celebrate our amazing fundraising achievement together! 🎉🏃‍♂️

The children in Year 5 had a wonderful experience at the Grand Theatre for The Children's Bookshow. They watched and joined in with Michael Rosen performing several of his own poems.

At the end of the show, all of the children received a copy of his new book 'Out of this world'. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and were reading the book on the way back to school!

💙SVP SUPPORTS MANNY'S MILE!💙

It was a truly fun-filled and enjoyable day as we came together to raise money and awareness for Dementia UK through Manny's Mile!

We started the day in fantastic fashion with our Year 6 children running a mile around the school grounds alongside Manny as he began his incredible challenge of running a mile at each of 50 schools across Wolverhampton. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support and cheer on our runners as they completed their mile. The encouragement from children, staff and families helped create such a brilliant atmosphere around school! 👏💙

The excitement didn’t stop there! Throughout the day, every class took part in their own sponsored run, with children across the school getting active, having fun and helping to raise money for this important cause. 🌟🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and grateful to our wonderful school community for getting behind the event and showing such fantastic support. 💙

A huge GOOD LUCK to Manny for Day 2 of his challenge! We’ll be cheering you on all the way! 🏃‍♂️💪

🌟 Be more like Savannah! 🌟

A huge well done to Savannah, who received a Highly Commended Award at the BBC Make a Difference Awards for her incredible charity work supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital! 🎈

Savannah has been busy selling her handmade bracelets and running mile after mile, all to raise money and make a difference to others.

Miss Cox and Mrs Cope were honoured to be asked to attend the ceremony and celebrate Savannah’s special achievement. The evening was a wonderful celebration of community spirit - something Savannah brings to Spring Vale every day.

Manny Singh Kang, who judged the awards, was delighted to meet Savannah and congratulate her on her special moment! It was a lovely moment celebrating two Spring Vale legends, past and present, making a difference in our community.

We are incredibly proud of Savannah and all she does for others ⭐️
