The first session of Young Artists is complete! 🗺️✨
This term, our young artists are becoming world-builders, creating their own fantasy lands filled with mysterious locations, hidden secrets and imaginative stories.
Last night began with a mysterious envelope and an ancient map challenge. Children designed their own lands, naming places, adding landmarks and bringing their ideas to life on tea-stained paper.
I can’t wait to see how these worlds develop over the coming weeks.
Which location would you explore first? 🏰🌲⛰️

Pokémon masterpieces complete! 🎨⚡
This week’s artists created their own Pokémon-inspired artworks based on famous paintings and they absolutely smashed it!
From swirling Starry Night skies to dramatic Scream-inspired backgrounds and peaceful Waterlilies scenes, every piece was completely unique.
The concentration and creativity in this session was amazing! So proud of them! 😁
Which artwork would your child have chosen?

Today’s Pokémon Art Workshop was full of creativity, colour and some brilliant ideas. 🎨
The children chose their favourite famous-art-inspired background to paint. They followed step-by-step guidance to build their canvases and I was very impressed with the finished paintings!
Then they designed their Pokémon!
Some children recreated familiar favourites, while others invented completely original characters of their own. ⚡👾
To finish, we mounted the Pokémon using foam pads to give the artwork a slightly 3D effect, and the results looked amazing.
I’ll be sharing their finished artworks later this week because there are far too many brilliant creations to fit into one post. 😊
