This charity is close to our hearts as it played a very important part in one of our staff’s lives not so long ago. March has been ‘Brain Tumour Awareness’ month and this is a great way of raising its awareness. For more details, please go to:

Year 4 have been busy this week! Yesterday, they took part in a Science workshop with Super Sonic Sue. Today, they are supporting Comic Relief by dressing up as superheroes and in Red Nose Day outfits.

Year 5 enjoyed a Science workshop this morning. They learnt about chemical reactions and the colour of acids and alkalines on the pH scale. They learnt how to make a 'polymer' (also known as slime!)

As part of Science Week, Year 6 investigated how their body contains tiny machines called ‘proteins’. Proteins are made of smaller building blocks, called amino acids that form long chains. They built their own chains, and then explored how their order and shape makes them ‘bind’ with other molecules and therefore determines how they work.
