Bilbrook Playgroup

Excitement is building at playgroup this week as Christmas draws closer. We are so busy completing lots of Christmas activities. We are having lots of fun during the final weeks of playgroup 😊

Christmas has officially arrived at playgroup this week! The Christmas tree is up, the glitter is out and the mischievous elf has arrived! So many lovely activities to do!

Another busy week at playgroup. Painting, glueing, cutting and painting! We made lots of our favourite safari animals. We enjoyed painting our favourite animal too!

This week at playgroup we have been learning all about animals. We have explored some of our favourite animals through lots of creative and imaginative resources. On Friday we joined in with Children in Need by dressing up in pyjamas and brightly coloured clothes! It’s been a very busy week!

This week we have been learning about the importance of The Poppy and Remembrance Sunday through many different activities. Lest We Forget

WOOSH! WIZZ! BANG!!! The children have enjoyed another wonderful week at Bilbrook Playgroup where they have been learning all about bonfire night and fireworks! We have explored colours, textures and discussed how to stay safe on bonfire night. 💥🔥

It is with great sadness we would like to share the news with you, Bilbrook Playgroup will be closing its doors permanently at Christmas.

We have been privileged to have been part of hundreds of children’s first steps on their early years journey over the past 40 years.

We have had many staff, committee members and parents/carers support us during our time and we thank you all.

Halloween 🎃!!
The children dressed up , created witches 🧙‍♀️ hats and made Auntie Wendy the witch a special potion made of slime and creepy crawlies in the cauldron !!!!!!
Then finished off with yummy party food 🎃

Autumn 🍂 Walk!!!!! It was very windy 🌬. The children discussed the signs of Autumn, made marks in the soil using sticks they found and collected more objects to use creatively next week. ❤️

Autumn is here!!!! The children have been collecting Autumn objects and using these to create pictures. 🍁

At Bilbrook Playgroup the children have enjoyed lots of exciting activities !!!!!! Balloon painting , painting with coloured water outside and watching the machines change the playground. 😊😃

Creativity is messy and we are very creative!

Today’s fun involved lots of different textures and smells to explore using our senses.

Who had more fun I wonder? The children or the aunties?

The children explored mixing colours and using bubble wrap to create a print on coloured paper. 😍

At Bilbrook Playgroup the children enjoyed eating their pancakes on Pancake Day.
They have been having fun exploring the Colours, Shapes and Numbers topic. 😍

Happy Valentine’s Day 🥰
The children created valentine’s cards for those they love , they discussed who they love and how they show love ❤️

The children have been excited about our topic this week about SUPERHEROES!!! They have made shields and created Supertato pictures using paint and vegetables 🥦 xx

The children have been enjoying so many activities since returning after their Christmas holidays!!!
We tried to catch ❄️ snowflakes when it was snowing.
We have enjoyed starting our topic of People Who Help Us.
We explored outside on the field when it was very frosty 🥶

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!
The children were visited by Santa 🎅 and he left them all a present 🎁
There have been lots of different Christmas activities this week.
The children have had lots of fun making reindeer food, exploring the ice and creating glittery craft work.

It’s Nursery Rhyme Week!!! All our activities are linked to nursery rhymes. Incy Wincy Spider, Old Macdonald Had A Farm,Miss Polly Had A Dolly, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Humpty Dumpty and many more!!! 😊 xx

At Bilbrook Playgroup this week we have been learning about Bonfire Night and Diwali. We discussed how to keep safe around fireworks and bonfires. Diwa Lamps were made using salt dough to celebrate Diwali.
