This year, alongside the general 2024 election, NEWA students took part in a parallel election! 🗳️📚 This initiative empowered young minds, giving them a taste of democracy.
By participating, students learned about the electoral process and the significance of voting as well as engaging in discussions about current issues and political platforms.
We have loved seeing our students getting a hands-on experience with the election process.

It is with regret that, due to an issue with the water supply, we are going to have to close Ormiston NEW Academy early today (Monday 29th April) to all children, except for those in Years 11 and 13. Children in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 will leave site from 11.25am.
We recognise that this may cause some parents a level of inconvenience however, for health and safety reasons, we cannot accommodate all children on site with the limited water supply we currently have.
We will update parents as soon as the situation is resolved and should be open to all children as normal tomorrow (Tuesday 30th April).
Kind regards
Mr. C. Cooling
