We also aim to bring seminars to our mats from some of the UK’s finest MMA athletes and coaches including UFC superstars, in order to provide you with the best possible training opportunities. Head coach Dan Korbely, a Wolverhampton local, started his Mixed Martial Arts career whilst still at school after becoming interested in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Searching for a none existent local gym, he decided to travel for suitable training. After 6 months of martial arts training he made his Amateur MMA Debut defeating his opponent by decision. For the next few years he would remain undefeated, capturing the AMMA British Featherweight title and defending the title many times to gain an Amateur MMA record of 10 wins and 0 defeats. In 2009 Dan would make his Professional debut defeating his opponent in the first round via TKO before retiring to concentrate on coaching duties obtained on his martial arts journey. In 2010 Dan co-opened Pure MMA in Cannock, taking his coaching duties very seriously he has first hand helped to produce many undefeated and British amateur champions in Mixed Martial Arts. Now concentrating on bringing a full time Mixed Martial Arts Gym to Wolverhampton he is confident he will produce an academy suitable for beginners and more experienced martial artists alike.
