School was full of excitement this morning as Year 4 set off on their residential. We hope they have a fantastic time and we can’t wait to hear all about their trip, when they return on Friday.
A VERY excited coach full of Year 1 and 2 children has set off on their first school trip in over 2 years, to the Lego Discovery Centre. For some children, this is their first ever school trip and their first time on a coach.
We are incredibly proud of our Year 3 and 4s boys and girls football teams. They both played home matches against Birches First School, after school today.

We are so proud to see the children play as a team, respecting each other, supporting each other, but most of all, enjoying themselves.
Year 2‘s forest school group seemed to be replaced by the “Muddy Monsters” this afternoon.
It has been a very busy afternoon of outdoors learning for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 today.
Year 1 have ended this terms ‘Whiz Ping Whir’ topic with a Teddy Bears picnic today. They have spent the last two days preparing their food and developing super food hygiene and preparation skills as apart of their DT lessons.

We have had a fantastic celebrating world book day. We have seen many amazing hats designed to represent the children’s favourite books.

Also, thank you to everyone who created their own Julia Donaldson character using a toilet roll.

We have seen a range of outfits today, all sporting different numbers or Times Table Rock Star themes for NSPCC ROCKS. The children have thoroughly enjoyed identifying the different numbers on each others outfits.

As well as dressing in numbered clothing, each class has spent the day playing number related games and completing number challenges. There have been many games of snakes and ladders, bingo, dominos, times table challenges and many more.

A huge well done to Hattie and Leo for becoming Rock Heroes on Times Table Rock Stars. They have completed every level and now answer times table questions up to 12x12 in less than 1 second! What an incredible achievement.

They celebrated their achievement on Number Day, by signing their names on the TTRS hall of fame.

It only seems like a few days ago we had all of that snow and Year 2 spent their last day of term enjoying the time to play in the snow.

Year 2 started this new term dressed as different characters from a book and had a lovely day doing character related activities, including making reading dens to share their stories with their friends.
