Welcome to Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Academy

Our Mission:

β€˜Together we will emulate the love of Christ and become the people God created us to be

17/06/2026

Today is Thank a Teacher Day, a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible difference that each of you makes every single day.

Teaching and supporting young people is far more than a job; it is a vocation. Whether you work in the classroom, support learning behind the scenes, keep our site running, safeguarding our children, provide pastoral care, administer our systems, or serve our wider school community, your dedication helps shape the lives of our students and enables them to become the people God created them to be.

As we continue through a busy examination season and approach the final weeks of the academic year, I want to take this opportunity to thank you personally for your commitment, resilience, compassion, and professionalism. The care you show our young people each day reflects our Catholic mission and values of Respect, Truth, Justice, Peace, Charity and Forgiveness.

Thank you for the countless acts of kindness that often go unseen, the extra hours, the encouragement you provide, and the belief you have in our students, especially when they need it most.

Together, we truly emulate the love of Christ and help transform lives.

With sincere thanks and appreciation

❀️ Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary ❀️

Today, we celebrate the Immaculate Heart of Mary, a feast that reminds us of Mary’s faith, love, compassion and complete trust in God.

As a school community, we reflect on Mary’s example of kindness, courage and service to others. May her loving heart inspire us to show compassion, forgiveness and care in our daily lives, following our mission to emulate the love of Christ in all that we do.

πŸ™ Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
