ChatHealth Parentline is a confidential text messaging service that allows parents and carers to contact qualified health professionals for advice and support about their child’s health.
Parents and carers of children aged 5-19-years-old can text a School Nurse on 07312 263951 to get confidential advice and support regarding their child’s health and wellbeing issues. School Nurses can also put them in touch with other local NHS or support services that can help.

💛 WEAR YELLOW FOR YOUNG MINDS ON 9TH OCTOBER 💛

We’re asking all our students and staff to wear something YELLOW to school in support of Young Minds and to show our commitment to supporting children and young people’s mental health.

Whether it’s a yellow T-shirt, jumper, socks, hair accessory or simply a splash of yellow — every little bit helps us stand together, spread positivity and show that mental health matters.

Let’s brighten up our school and show our support! 🌈

As we celebrate our Harvest Festival, we are asking our wonderful Pine Green Academy community to come together and support our Food Bank and local charities.

We would be incredibly grateful for donations of tins, jars, packets and other non-perishable cupboard foods.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a real difference to families and individuals in our local community.

💜 ADHD Awareness Month – October 💜

October is ADHD Awareness Month, a time to learn more about ADHD, challenge misconceptions and celebrate the strengths, talents and individuality of people with ADHD.

ADHD can affect people in different ways. It can impact attention, impulsivity, organisation, emotional regulation and activity levels, but it can also come with many strengths, including creativity, enthusiasm, curiosity, problem-solving and thinking differently.

At Pine Green Academy, we believe in understanding, supporting and celebrating every child as an individual.

Throughout October, we will be raising awareness and helping our school community to better understand ADHD and how we can support children and young people to thrive.

National Curry Week – 5th October!

We’re celebrating National Curry Week at Pine Green Academy!

On Monday 5th October, our children will be able to enjoy a delicious curry for lunch as part of our special menu.

Throughout the year, we have lots of themed food days for our children to enjoy, giving them the opportunity to try different flavours, dishes and foods from a variety of cultures — helping to broaden their taste buds and encourage them to try something new!

We hope everyone enjoys their tasty lunchtime treat!

WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT WEDNESDAY!
This week, we are delighted to celebrate FOUR wonderful students who have each shown incredible determination, kindness, progress and commitment.

Our Primary student has been working incredibly hard to manage his emotions and anger after taking a break from his medication due to side effects. He has shown fantastic resilience and has also started boxing, where he has made a huge amount of progress over the past three weeks. We are so proud of the effort he is putting in and the positive steps he is taking! ⭐

Our first Secondary student has shown an amazing amount of kindness and compassion. Over the past few months, they have been regularly checking in on an elderly neighbour who lost contact with her family. They have been visiting her, keeping her company and making sure she knows she isn't alone. What a wonderful example of kindness and community spirit! ⭐

Our second Secondary student has made fantastic progress with her reading! During the summer, she challenged herself to read five epic fantasy books on her Kindle and enjoyed it so much that she is already planning a winter reading marathon. She is now working towards challenging herself with increasingly difficult books. What an amazing achievement! ⭐

Our final Secondary student has been working exceptionally hard on his diet and exercise routine. He has shown fantastic commitment by sticking to his routine, and all that hard work is already paying off as he begins to see the results of his efforts. His dedication and determination are something to be proud of! ⭐

FOUR STUDENTS, FOUR INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENTS!
A huge well done to all four of our students. Your achievements remind us that progress comes in many different forms, whether it is showing kindness, overcoming challenges, discovering a love of reading or committing to a personal goal.
