Welcome tutors, parents, students.
www.findmeatutor.co.uk is the UK’s newest and fastest growing tutor website. It was designed to give tutors, coaches and all one to one teachers a space to advertise their services without being charged the huge and unreasonable fees demanded by other sites of this kind.
Since we were founded in late summer of this year, almost a hundred tutors have joined us and are enjoying the business our site brings them. We encourage you to take a look at the site and think about adding your details to our roster.
Here’s why…
Unlike almost all other sites, we do not charge a lesson by lesson fee. In fact, for the time being, signing up is completely free. Membership is for life and there are no hidden or ongoing costs. In January, once enough traffic has been generated through the site to justify doing so, we will make a one off £25 signup fee which, again, will be for life. This is less than the cost of one lesson in most cases. Compare this with the £7 - £10 fee PER LESSON demanded by the most commonly used website.
In addition, we encourage the linking of social media, personal websites and other systems from the site. In this way, both parties benefit as they are more likely to be found after a Google search. In return we expect to be ‘reverse linked’ back to the site, to enable students whom tutors cannot help to look again on our listings.
Our system for connecting tutors with students is different too. Not for us the undignified ‘bidding’ process whereby tutors make contact with students who then decide which tutor to employ. With us, all initial contact is made by the student via your (hidden) email address, allowing you to decide in your own time who to work with. All financial arrangements are made subsequently, with the site taking no monies whatsoever for a lesson. This way, tutors keep every penny they earn, and parents or students are not overbilled by a tutor trying to offset the percentage taken by a website.
As a way of encouraging people to search for you on the site, on signing up, we send you a poster template on which you can add any personal details such as a phone number and availability. Although old fashioned, a well - placed poster can still generate a fair amount of business.
We believe that with www.findmeatutor.co.uk both tutor and student get a far better deal than with any other website.
Please do think seriously about joining us – you are most welcome. If you don’t feel that we are for you, please do ‘like’ us anyway and do all you can to spread the word about us. Tutors everywhere will benefit from your action.
