I want to say a big thank you to all the staff at Caterpillars Nursery π
My little girl was recently diagnosed with Coeliac, as you can imagine this was a very scary thing to be told and we were so anxious about all the challenges that lay ahead for her and us as her family x
The team did not let us down!!! The manager explained to all the staff what Coeliac was, risk assessments were completed, the kitchen was adapted in regards to cross contamination, new resources were brought for her, food had been adapted and the nursery menu, to cater for her and her needs!
We have been reassured so much and she has handled the change so well, with the support of nursery! Her lead nursery practitioner has been great, she feeds back to me in detail, explaining how they have changed various foods or adapted for her to eat similar meals, updates me on if foods have been liked or not and has even been out and paid out of her own pocket, gluten free flour, to support messy play!!

Celebrating 15 years of owning Caterpillars Day Nursery ππ 15 year's today I took a huge step and took over caterpillars nursery that I've worked at for many years starting at caterpillars as a young student Back in 2001. 15 years later we are now approaching Our 1st year at our new premesis in Chapel Lane the best move we could ever of made.

We are currently full in our 2 year olds unit and have no available 2 year old funded spaces for the next 12 months. Making the most of a snow day. We have enjoyed snow play indoors and outdoors today. I think my favourite was painting the snow it was lovely to watch all the diffrent colours as the snow started to melt. The children really have enjoyed a snowy day.

Following the latest lockdown news nursery will remain open. The senior team will meet tomorow to make an assesment of ensuring we maintain our bubbles and ensure the safety of our children staff and parents. Staggered drop off and collection times to ensure the safety of all will again be put in place All parents will be emailed with updates as soon as possible. Please ensure all parents wear face covering when dropping off and collecting your children

Makes everything worth while. Happy children happy parents. Im so.proud of my nursery and my team. At the start of this year i didnt even know if id still have a nursery and be doing the job i love
But this is the reason i gave my everything to keep my nursery. I was lucky to find chapel lane and worked my socks off to make caterpillars even better than what it was at greenlane. The building is just bricks its the staff that make it one of the best nurseries. We may only be a small building with a small number of children but we are certainly a big nursery when it comes to giving our all to make the children feel happy and secure. Especially in these current times the children , parents and staff happiness is the most important thing.
