October is a busy month for our Governor training programme.

We're covering the fundamentals, like Chair's Effectiveness and Working with your Governance Professional, alongside specific responsibilities such as pupil exclusions, admission appeals, and independent review panels.

There's a strong safeguarding and wellbeing thread running through the month, covering Advanced Safeguarding, Anti-Bullying, and Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing in Schools, alongside practical training on finance, SEND, and data.

Whatever stage you or your governing board are at, there's a session to suit your needs.

Emma took on the challenge with her dad as part of his 80th birthday celebrations! Together, they raised funds for a brilliant cause, and thanks to the incredible support of friends, family and colleagues, Emma exceeded her fundraising target.

Our Senior Data & Systems Manager, Kerrie, recently joined Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation as a volunteer journalist, and her first assignment was covering the Molineux Abseil this weekend.

From speaking to participants before they took the leap to capturing moments from throughout the day, it was a fantastic opportunity to see the event up close. A selection of Kerrie's photos from the day can be found below.

She was also invited to write a feature on the event for Wolves Foundation, capturing the stories, experiences and achievements of those taking part.
