Nursery Ladybirds were so excited following England’s first win of the World Cup, and asked if we could make flags. Here we all are celebrating together, with a special message for the team. Good Luck England🏴🏴💛💙

Our Year 6 pupil governors represented St. John’s at the governors meeting at Hilton Hall yesterday. We are so proud of you!
Ladybirds have been busy making and eating their jam and banana sandwiches today. We recalled our trip to Hay House Farm, remembering the true story of bread; ‘from field to fork’!🐔💛💙

Nursery Bumblebees were excited to find some bread had been left for us today to make sandwiches for snack time. We listened to ‘The Little Red Hen’ to remind us how bread is made - from sowing the seeds and looking after them to grinding the wheat into flour and baking the bread. We had to be very careful using the knife to spread the butter and then it was big decision time, what filling to choose - banana or jam? I think everyone agreed their sandwich was yummy!

During our forest session we planted a story book! Yes, the actual pages were seeds! Now Miss Gayden and Mrs Ball will always remember our RJG family. 💙💛

At the beginning of May, Nursery Bumblebees planted some grass seed. We placed it outside our classroom door. We have been checking the weather every day and noticed that our seeds have had lots of rain and sunshine. We now have very long grass. Using our scissor skills, we have cut the grass and dried it out like Farmer Lara making hay.
