This half term, our Year 4 scientists have been investigating βTeeth and Eating.β The last two weeks they have been specifically looking at the digestive system. This week, our scientists used household objects to represent the different parts of our digestive system.
Amongst these, they used scissors to represent the teeth, a zip lock bag to represent the stomach and tights to represent the small and large intestines. Using bananas and crackers they simulated the digestive journey from the mouth all the way through the body, up to its exit. They had lots of fun and were able to describe each part of our foodβs incredible journey! What brilliant Scientists! π§βπ¬
Wow Mason! You really did a fabulous job with your homework this week. It has taken pride of place at the front of school. π€©π
