Wolverhampton BJJ is a friendly and welcoming Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club in Wolverhampton that welcomes people of all age groups and abilities. Learning BJJ combines a recognised form of self-defence with a fantastic way to keep fit and meet new people. We run a variety of different classes to suit all skills and experience levels

We currently run classes Monday - Friday evenings from 18:30hrs onwards.

A huge congratulations to Tom and Jakub, who were both awarded their Blue Belts yesterday at Roll Models in Stoke! 🥋👏

These promotions are thoroughly deserved. Both have shown excellent commitment to their training, developed into high-quality grapplers, and backed it up on the competition mats time and time again.

Yesterday was another brilliant example, with both producing excellent results at Roll Models, adding to the multiple medals they’ve already collected at previous competitions. 🥇🥈🥉

But it’s not just about medals — they’ve put the hours in on the mats, continued to improve their games and consistently shown the level expected to make that next step.

Congratulations, lads — welcome to the Blue Belt division! 🔵🔥

And somewhere across the country, the white belt divisions have just breathed a collective sigh of relief… 😂

Well earned. Well deserved. Onto the next chapter. 💪🥋

A massive shoutout to everyone from the team who travelled to Stoke simply to support their teammates. That team spirit makes a huge difference and was there for everyone to see today. ❤️🖤

Special mention to Coaches Luke and Stef and Professor Ben, who spent the day matside coaching the team — often trying to cover multiple fighters competing at the same time! 😅

🟣 Tuan – 1st stripe on his Purple Belt
Fresh off a brilliant weekend at the National Masters, bringing home DOUBLE GOLD 🥇🥇 and SILVER 🥈. Outstanding competition performances and a very well-deserved first stripe!

⚪ Lewis – 3rd stripe on his White Belt
Consistency paying off! Lewis continues to level up his knowledge and technique through regular training. Great progress and another stripe thoroughly earned! 👊

⚪ Liam – 2nd stripe on his White Belt
Liam’s training has been going from strength to strength, and he backed it up at the National Masters with GOLD in the Gi 🥇 and SILVER in No-Gi 🥈. Brilliant work!

Congrats to Bas who was awarded his second stripe on his blue belt this evening, following a superb outing at the National Masters yesterday where he won gold.

Abdul ‘The Prof’ was also awarded his first stripe on his blue belt following a very consistent spell of training where he’s shown some great progress.

🥋 COMPETITION CLASS IN THE BOOKS! 🔥

A seriously tough 2-hour competition session tonight, led by Professor Ben, putting the guys’ games — and their cardio 😅 — right to the limit!

With plenty of competitions coming up over the next couple of months, these are the sessions that make the difference. Hard rounds, tired bodies, no easy reps — just everyone testing their game, working under pressure and pushing each other to improve.

Absolutely brilliant to see many of the team committed and grafting together. The work being put in now will no doubt pay dividends when we hit the competition mats! 🏆
