It was wonderful to welcome Brandon & his Mum back into school this week and for him to tell us how successful he's been since leaving Green Park. We loved celebrating his achievements and it was great to hear he was so well prepared for life after Green Park. Brandon kindly brought in a donation in memory of his late father, Satnam. Thank you so much, the amazing donation of £130 will be used towards developing a new outdoor play area in Green Cluster! See you again soon Brandon!
Bluebells class have been on a 'Bear Hunt' today, trying to spot the bears hidden around the walkway and listen out for the grizzly roars! They wrapped up warm and all really enjoyed the fresh air this morning; using their listening and looking skills they managed to find them all! Well done Bluebells class, it looks like you had so much fun!
Another fabulous session at Breathing Space Therapeutic Services CIC !
Here's a fabulous time lapse video of those Easter treats being made. Well done Beech class! We hope you all get an Easter treat today - don't eat too many! 😉 We look forward to seeing you all on 25th April. Happy Easter!
Happy Easter from everyone at Green Park School! Before the holidays Snowdrops had an Easter Bonnet parade- how fabulous are these bonnets! Thank you the parents & carers for their support with this.
We also had Beech class, as part of their work experience, making Easter treats. They worked so hard this term on their Easter Mini Enterprise. Students spoke to staff across school taking pre orders. Next they took part in food hygiene sessions and then they got really busy making! They managed to make and sell over 170 treat cones! Thanks to all the supportive staff and well done Beech Class!
The mighty Oak Class have been fortunate enough to have had a wonderful 6 week block working with 'Inclusic'- part of the Wolverhampton Music Service. Through their music, they have been on adventures across the sea, travelled to foreign lands and met some fabulous new people. We have loved working together, creating music and making new friends. Fabulous work Oak Class!
Here are few more Easter Bunny pics from Snowdrops class! Have a fabulous Easter break everyone!
We had a very special visitor in school today! The pupils were hopping with excitement! Jasmine class were literally practising their hopping skills and high fiving the Easter Bunny, Poppies class enjoyed hunting for their treats and Cedar class just loved meeting the man himself! We definitely got the whole school in the mood for some Easter Fun!
One of our super pupils meeting their hero! Well done Archie from everyone at school!
Beech class have had an ‘EGG-cellent’ cooking session today! We followed a recipe to make Easter egg cheesecakes! We are super ‘EGG-cited’ to try them once the filling has set!
Exciting morning planned this morning!
Please ensure you read an important Covid Update letter published on our website, that is also coming home today. Thank you! https://www.greenparkschool.co.uk/news

Beech class love to develop their water confidence and skills at Bentley Bridge Swimming Lessons, on Wednesday mornings. This week was extra special, as we were able to use the café to help us develop our independence and life skills . We ordered hot drinks and had our snacks in the leisure centre café. It was great to recharge after exercise.

Today is World Book Day and as you can imagine - we have a school full of fantastic costumes! Here is Beech Class Team with their themed costumes from 'Books Beyond Words'. Books Beyond Words, aim to bring social stories to people through pictures rather than words. Picture stories are accessible to everyone, whether or not you can read words! The pupils in Beech use Books beyond words as visual literacy each week. Pupils love discussing how characters feel in a variety of relatable situations such as going to the dentist or making friends. How fabulous do they all look?

Today we have had such an exciting morning at school! Wolverhampton Music Service provided us with a 'Playing Together' morning. Pupils were encouraged to listen, move, and play lots of different musical instruments. It was also chance to showcase pupils' progress after 5 months of 1 to 1 music lessons. It was such a magical experience and we really hope we can do it again soon! We must say a big THANK YOU to Wolverhampton Music Service and the virtual school for working together with us to provide such an exceptional experience for our young people!

The pupils decided last week, on their walk to college, that there was a lot of litter. To try and help they wanted to clean up the litter and be helpful members of their community! They did such a fantastic job working in partners to find litter, use a litter picker and put it in the rubbish in a bag. Great teamwork and so helpful!
