We did it! We completed the Chasewater Easter Egg 10k. It was pretty muddy in places but we all pushed ourselves and had a great race! What a team!
Thank you to everyone who has supported us. Watch out for our The Duke of Edinburgh's Award students continuing the fundraising in the summer term 🙌

Don’t forget to cheer them on or even donate if you can! Today’s the day! 🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Our Duke of Edinburgh's Award students have chosen to raise money for Acorns Children's Hospice as part of the voluntary service section of their award. Acorns is close to our hearts and supports many of our pupils. During the Easter break, a team of staff & friends of school (Gillian, Michelle, Steph, Katie, Simon & Carl) are running the Chasewater Easter Egg 10k on the 31st March, in aid of the charity.
We have been training hard and are ready for our next staff challenge! Use the link below if you are able to donate and support our efforts!

Thank you!

Thank you to everyone that attended the Easter Makaton coffee morning, last week. It was lovely to see both new and familiar faces. The next Makaton coffee morning will be based around everything summer! We will be looking at signs and symbols associated with summer, days out and places to visit. We’ll send out the full details soon including how to book your place. In the meantime, here’s a Makaton message from the Easter Bunny!

This half term, Poppies class have been learning about sewing, as part of our Art and design lessons. We were challenged to make our own bags using our new sewing skills! We also made a bag for Lorraine, our Headteacher. The challenge over the next half term, is for students to use their creative skills and decorate their own bags with their chosen design. We look forward to seeing the finished bags! Amazing skills!

Snowdrops class had a fantastic time at Statfold Barn Railway to support the transport topic this term. The day started with a tour of the museum in which the students needed to help Toby the railway dog mascot, find his lost lunch. Once they had found everything Toby came to thank us himself. The students then had lots of fun in the train themed soft play where they climbed the railway stairs and wizzed down the train track slides. We then finished our day with a ride on a real steam train which was so much fun!

Today Jasmine class headed out on a trip Wildside Activity Centre to travel on a narrowboat! Our transport topic has been so much fun this half term and it was amazing to finish it off with a journey on the water. Our teacher even booked the sunshine for us so we could feel the warmth on our faces and the lovely spring breeze! 🌞

Parents and carers are being encouraged to complete short surveys about wraparound childcare, and the planned expansion of free childcare. The Government says that, by 2026, all parents and carers of primary school aged children will be able to access term time childcare from 8:00am until 6:00pm, so that they can access employment. At the same time, the Government is introducing childcare reforms to fund extended childcare for working families.
