Two joyous assemblies from Primary and Secondary yesterday celebrating Jeans for Genes Day. Pupils and Students were asked to use mirrors to look at their own features and decorate jeans, explore colours and investigate what genes are before joining in a mass sign and sign to the song 'This is me'. Yesterday in Beech class, to celebrate Jeans for Genes day we put our practical & functional skills into practise, by creating bags made out of old jeans. We enjoyed learning the safety essentials of our equipment before using the sewing machine to create a bag and the iron to attach our chosen designs. We have also been busy designing our very own pair of jeans evaluating their pattern, colour and design. Jeans for Genes UK

The Duke of Edinburgh group enjoyed their Skills Taster Sessions last week, getting hands-on experience with a range of exciting activities before choosing their top two skills to pursue. Some of the most popular choices included bird watching, music, hair and beauty, darts and cooking. We can't wait to see how their skills develop over the coming months!

We were delighted to receive a generous donation of £2,200 from the Ettingshall Sunday Darts League, during the summer holiday whose annual fundraising continues to make a significant impact on our school and the opportunities we are able to provide for our pupils.
The league is made up of local pubs from across the area, and we would like to congratulate The Royal, Coseley, who received the trophy for the team that raised the most towards this year's donation.
A special thank you goes to all the league members for making us feel so welcome, and particularly to Terry Skidmore, whose hard work in organising the tournaments and end-of-year awards helps make this fantastic fundraising effort possible.
We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of the Ettingshall Sunday Darts League. Their generosity truly makes a difference to our school community.

Reminder for uniform requirements. Thank you for your support.

We hope you’re all enjoying a wonderful summer break — the sunshine has certainly helped. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to school on Thursday 3rd September.
As you start getting things ready for the new school year, please remember that all pupils are expected to wear school uniform. It doesn’t need to be expensive or have our logo on it — just the correct colours so everyone feels part of the same team.
We’ve popped the uniform reminder poster below so you can double‑check what’s needed. Shoes should be black and comfortable for a busy day of learning and play.
Looking forward to seeing all our families soon! 🌟
