Good morning from Year 4! We’ve already had a busy morning - packing, stripping beds, cleaning rooms and breakfast!
Now we’re onto our first activity for the day!
Lots of us don’t want to come home 😞 we want to stay forever!
16/03/2023
And so after a day of activities, what’s happening this evening? We’re having a lovely time playing games together - connect 4, jenga, snakes 🐍 and ladders 🪜, Uno, Dominoes, Dobble, top trumps and lots more ….. including snacks of course!
A lovely way to spend the evening!

A few photos from today’s activities so far ….. it’s certainly non-stop but everyone’s having a fabulous time (and lunch was great too!)

Good morning all. We apologise for the late notice but we have made the decision to close school today. All parents/carers should have received a text.
As you all know this is a decision which is not made lightly but unfortunately, we have many staff who are struggling to get to school and in addition, their own children’s schools have closed so they also have childcare issues. Also, the majority of schools around us have also decided to close.
Again, we apologise for this - all children have lots of homework that they can be doing and there are lots of sites on the website that they can access (or just enjoy the snow ❄️ ⛄️❄️)
Thank you for your understanding and support. Please pass the message on to other parents.

It was lovely to welcome The Mayor of Wolverhampton Cllr Sandra Samuels OBE Wolverhampton Mayor to our school this morning.
We were thrilled that she was able to join us in our worship this morning; we learnt lots about Cllr Sandra Samuels OBE, her background, her journey so far and her role as Mayor and her important message of ‘Dare to dream!’
We were also extremely grateful to receive our School of Sanctuary re-accreditation.
It was a lovely morning and it was a pleasure to show The Mayor around our wonderful school.

As a school, we are blessed to have children and families from around the world as part of our St Luke's family so I am sure that like myself, you have all been affected by the terrible scenes and news from Turkey and Syria following the earthquakes which happened last week.
Help is being offered from all around the world, with over 60 countries sending aid, food, medicine and shelter supplies as well as specialist teams to help with the search and
rescue support. Although we are in a different country, events such as this can still affect us and therefore, I have been asked by children, parents, Governors and staff if there is some way in which we, as a school family, can help.
So what can we do?
As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, we are going to hold a cake sale on Friday and all proceeds will be sent to the 'Turkey & Syria Earthquake Appeal'.
How can you help?
* Any donations of cakes / biscuits which we can sell would be really appreciated!
* Send your children in with money on Friday so that they can buy some cakes!
* Please bring cash with you on Friday when you come to school to collect your children, just in case there are any cakes left!
Also, if you have any other ideas of how we can support those affected by the earthquakes for after half-term, please come and speak to me or email school
Thank you, Mrs Grennan
