Celebrating Year 10 success at Aldersley High School.
This week we have been proud to recognise subject award winners from last term, and treat our top point earners and Golden Ticket winners to a well-earned bowling trip.
Now, our Year 10s are turning their focus to ROP3 exams, starting on Sunday 15 June - we are right behind them as they get ready to show what they know.

Great Big Green Week starts this weekend - and Team Aldersley is ready.
Next week, our Science classes will be heading out to take part in a litter pick, doing their bit for climate and nature as part of this brilliant national campaign.
A special shout-out to our Environment Leaders, who have championed this from the start. This is exactly the kind of purposeful, community-rooted action that makes us proud to be Aldersley.

Real workplaces. Real challenges. Real growth. 💼
A massive well done to our Year 10 students who have just completed work experience week! Pupils were tasked with contacting employers and securing their own placements - and despite a few knock-backs along the way, their perseverance paid off.
From dentists and doctors to solicitors, hotels, cafes, restaurants and schools, our students stepped into workplaces across Wolverhampton and beyond, gaining skills and confidence that no classroom alone can teach.
Thank you to every employer who welcomed our young people through their doors. Your support helps us prepare students for life beyond school - and that matters.
Never Knowingly Underchallenged. This week proved it.

Yesterday we welcomed our first group of Year 6 visitors for their SEND transition session at Aldersley High School - and what a brilliant start it was.
Led by Mrs Bridges and our SEND team, the session gave our future pupils a real taste of life at Aldersley - getting stuck into hands-on activities, meeting key staff, and starting to feel at home in their new school.
We are already looking forward to welcoming them back on Tuesday 2nd June for day 2.
Transition matters. Getting it right means every young person arrives in September feeling confident, supported, and ready to thrive. That is what Team Aldersley is all about.

A reminder to families of our new Year 7 starters - we have a number of additional transition sessions coming up to help your child feel confident and settled before joining Team Aldersley in September.
Our first SEND/EHCP transition session takes place on Tuesday and is a great opportunity for families to meet key staff and get tailored support ahead of the main transition days. If this would benefit your child, we would love to see you there.
We are also running Non-Feeder Primary School sessions so students from outside our usual feeder schools can meet staff, explore the school, and connect with other new starters.
Please check your emails for full details and booking information. These sessions are all about making sure every student feels welcome, supported, and ready to thrive.

The Wolverhampton City Cup is coming home to Aldersley! 🏆
Our Year 10 boys football team put in a fantastic performance against Heath Park, winning 2-0 to lift the trophy. A worldie free kick from Jack and a towering header from Tyler sealed a victory this squad has thoroughly earned.
Mr Tatton and Mr Jones could not be prouder of the effort, commitment, and teamwork from every single player. This group has worked incredibly hard all season and they finally have the silverware to show for it.
Well done, lads. Aldersley is proud of you.
