What a week it has been for our Year 11 students!
On Monday, our students began their Wave 1 tuition. Each student received their bespoke tuition timetable, outlining where they need to be before school, during the school day and during Advantage. The commitment shown so far has been fantastic, with students giving every session their absolute all. A particular highlight was seeing 88% of the cohort attend yesterday’s Science tuition!
The success doesn’t stop there! Throughout the week, Mr Archer, Miss Kaur, Miss Plant and Mrs Mulley have been visiting lessons to celebrate the fabulous work being produced by our Year 11 students. It has been heartwarming to see students working incredibly hard, while also celebrating those who have been selected as this week’s Superstars! Our Year 11s have proved that they are committed to being successful.
Students have also received their Basic Badges from Year 10 ROP3, celebrating their achievements in Maths and English:
🥉 Bronze: 4+ in Maths and English�🥈 Silver: 5+ in Maths and English�🥇 Gold: 7+ in Maths and English
It has been amazing to see them wearing these with pride.
Finally, Mr Archer and Miss Kaur also launched Basics Breakfast for our tippers - students who are just one grade away from achieving their next Basic Badge. If students convert their grade ahead of November, they’ll be rewarded with a full English breakfast.
So what’s next?
Upgrade Your Grade begins on Monday! Students will have the opportunity to work towards some fantastic prizes by meeting the following criteria between Monday 14 September and Friday 13 November:
✅ 95%+ attendance to school�✅ 80%+ attendance to tuition�✅ No conduct logs�✅ 90%+ completion of the 30 Day Challenge
We are incredibly excited to see how many students can rise to the challenge!
Lastly, don’t forget that our Year 11 GCSE Success Evening takes place on Thursday.
This is a fantastic opportunity for parents and carers to receive an overview of the academic year, collect valuable revision resources and visit a range of stalls designed to support your child throughout their final year at Aldersley.
