This week, pupils have been listening to assemblies delivered by Mrs Pinches celebrating Black History Month. The theme for this year's celebrations is "honouring our communities" and Mrs Pinches took us on a journey around the West Midlands highlighting key figures in our local area and the amazing work that they have done!
Keep your eyes peeled for the house completion taking place too!

Last week in MFL, we celebrated the European Day of Languages in assemblies and lessons. Pupils got competitive and learned some unexpected facts with a quiz about languages in Europe and worldwide. With over 33 languages spoken by pupils at Smestow Academy, we are pleased to be able to support pupils to gain qualifications in any foreign languages they speak at home - talk to a French teacher to find out more.
