This week in Pink class, we are learning about the Great Fire of London. Today, the children used QR codes off their knowledge organiser as a pre teach about our topic. The children used the QR codes to read information and to watch videos about the Great Fire of London learning about why the fire happened, what happened during the Great Fire of London and what happened after the Great Fire of London.

The Children’s Commissioner for England, has asked for your support in helping children at school take part in a new survey, The Big Future.

As many Year 6 pupils will have recently finished their SATs, this could be a great opportunity for them to reflect on their time at primary school and share their hopes and ideas for the future in their own words.

They want to hear from children aged 0–18 from every background, in every part of the country, and your support will help make that possible. The Survey asks children about the things they enjoy, the challenges they face, the changes they want to see in their communities, and what they think a good childhood should look like today.

We are delighted to inform you that our school will soon be launching the 𝗔𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, and we are very excited about the benefits this will bring to our school community.

Over the coming days, you will receive an email inviting you to set up your Arbor account. This email will prompt you to download the Arbor app and create a password to get started.

Once you have logged in, the Arbor app will allow you to:

• View your child’s information

• Check attendance records

• Receive messages directly from the school through the app

As we move through the next half term, additional features will gradually become available as we transition fully from ParentMail to Arbor. We will keep you updated and provide further information as new functions are introduced.
