Introducing Tutor of the Week at Moreton School!

Starting this half term, we are celebrating the tutor groups with the best attendance and punctuality each week. Tutor time is an important part of the school day - it gives students the chance to check in, feel supported, and start the day ready to succeed.

Every week, the top tutor group in each year will be crowned Tutor of the Week and win a sweet treat for the whole form.

Even better - win for three weeks in a row and your tutor group earns a pizza party.

Attendance matters. Punctuality counts. Every day in school is a chance to strive for more.

Turn up. Check in. Win together.

In the teacher dedication to football category we have our PSG Academy West Midlands manager, Wayne Spicer. If you can spare a few minutes we would really appreciate everyone voting for him. We can't win this without team Moreton behind us!

From 1st June, we are putting the spotlight on attendance and punctuality at Moreton School.

Every minute in the classroom matters. Being on time means being prepared, confident, and ready to learn from the very first bell. Just a few missed minutes each day can add up to hours of lost learning over the year.

Great attendance builds strong habits, supports achievement, and helps every student reach their full potential. That is what striving for more looks like, every single day.

Arrive on time. Be ready to learn. Make every minute matter.

📝 Feedback that fuels improvement

Homework is not just about completing a task - it is about learning from it.

In Class Charts, the Homework tab shows when a teacher has left feedback. You can also open the task description and any attachments to understand what is needed.

A quick weekly check helps students reflect, improve, and keep striving for more.

Our KS4 Drama students experienced live theatre at its finest this week! 🎭

Students attended a matinee performance of 2:22 - A Ghost Story at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, gaining valuable insight into live performance, staging and theatre design ahead of their written exam.

The group showed fantastic focus, initiative and conduct throughout - a real credit to Moreton School. Experiences like these go beyond the classroom, building cultural capital and deepening understanding of the craft.

Well done to everyone involved.
