Grade 9s galore as Black Country students celebrate GCSE success

Photos from St Peter's Collegiate Academy's post 20/08/2026

The smiles said it all this morning. Jubilation all round as Year 11 opened their GCSE results, hard work finally paying off.

Whatever the grades say, every student has something to be proud of: the revision, the effort, the resilience it took to get here.
We're delighted that so many are staying with us, whether that's moving on to Three Spires Sixth Form or starting an apprenticeship.

Well done, Year 11. We're proud of every one of you.

Film. Business. Physics. Sport. However our Three Spires Sixth Form students chose to spend their two years with us, results day has shown just how far that choice can take you.

At Compton Campus, Venice L picked up an A* in Film Studies, an A in English Literature and a Distinction* in CTEC Business. Harry H added A grades in Maths, Physics and Further Maths, while Fraser L secured As in Maths and Biology. Sam B-T, Justin E, Isaac G and Theo R each walked away with three Distinction* grades in CTEC Sport, and Lily F added A grades in Religious Education and Sociology.

Tettenhall Campus students had plenty to celebrate too. Jasmeen K achieved AAB, with an A in her EPQ. Eesha J secured BBB, also with an A in her EPQ. Denis H achieved BBB, Daniel O achieved ACC, and Ribqah K combined a Distinction* and Merit at Level 3 with a C at A level.

Different pathways, same result: students ready for whatever comes next.

🎶 Congratulations to all of our students who have achieved ABRSM and Trinity music examination successes this term! 🎶

We are incredibly proud of every student who has worked so hard to prepare for their instrumental examinations. From first grades through to Grade 8, each result represents hours of dedicated practice, perseverance and a real commitment to developing as a musician. We look forward to seeing what you achieve next. Keep making music! 🎺🎻🎷🥁

🎷 Our Big Band brought the Quad to life at lunchtime today with a fantastic performance to kick off Culture Week! 🌍🎶

It was brilliant to see so many students and staff stopping to enjoy the music and celebrate the start of a week showcasing the diversity and talents of our school community.

A huge well done to all of our musicians for representing the Music Department so brilliantly!

PE kit days are here.

From Wednesday 15 July, your child can wear St Peter's PE kit instead of the standard uniform for the rest of this week.

It's a good moment to get uniform sorted ahead of September, when the normal dress code returns. Anything you no longer need can be dropped off at the Uniform Swap Shop on Friday 17 July.

One less thing to sort before the summer holidays.

Numbers turn up in the most unexpected places once you start looking: the bus timetable, a recipe, the score at Saturday's match. That's exactly the idea Mercy O in Year 7 and Nabeeha S in Year 8 ran with for this year's Number Heroes competition, and both have come away as winners.

Their entries were picked out for the creative way they explored how numbers show up in the neighbourhoods, clubs and communities around us. Each will collect a £15 Amazon voucher in assembly, and both entries have now been put forward to the national round.

Well deserved, both of you.
