WOW! What a busy week it has been for me on my journey into the media world!

We will start off the Wolverhampton City Sports Awards. I was fortunate enough to be asked to host the Wolverhampton City Secondary Sports Awards on behalf of ConnectEd Partnership! It was a pleasure to host the awards as well as edit and produce the video! I'm forever grateful for them as they allowed me complete control to show off my skills. I hope I did that! 😊

🏆 Congratulations to all the winners!

🙌🏻 Thank you for the feedback over the past few days.

✍🏻 This wasn't the end of my action-packed week more to follow in the coming days.....

Watch below👇🏻
🏆🏆 Sport at St. Stephen's 🏆🏆

Sport has always been high on the agenda at St. Stephen's. It can teach our young people so many skills that are transferable to later life. This is just one of the reasons that we try to encourage as many children as possible to participate in regular physical activity.

Below is a post from Active Black Country that talks about the great work that goes on in our school.

We've been out and about visiting #BlackCountry schools filming good practice on how they spend their PE & Sport Premium funding. Our 1st video is St Stephen's C of E Primary School in #Wolverhampton, showcasing how they used the Active Lives Childrens Survey & pupil voice to increase activity of pupils - Take a look http://bit.ly/2LX6Qpm

What a great way to start the day…. We might get this going in the ConnectEd offices! 👀

As the weather isn’t the best at the moment, our Run a Mile before school will be changing to a “Wake Up Shake Up” session every Tuesday and Friday morning at 8.30am. Any children in Y3-Y6 can come along and join us. This is a great indoor activity to start the day and keep ourselves fit and healthy 💪

Please share with those you know who run local clubs!

Local sports clubs and physical activity providers are being encouraged to claim a grant of £1,000 towards the costs of recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Volunteer-led and not-for-profit sports clubs and physical activity providers in Wolverhampton are eligible for a Covid Compliance Grant offered by the council to help them deliver activities in a Covid-safe way and encourage regular rapid Covid-19 testing.

Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: “I would encourage eligible organisations to apply for a grant today, which will help give people confidence that clubs and physical providers are doing all they can to protect their members, participants and the wider community safe from this deadly virus.”

Applications for the Covid Compliance Grant are being accepted now via https://orlo.uk/MxKxb and will be assessed early in the new year.

What a great experience for all involved!

Today, Year 5 and 6 children from Busill Jones Primary School are dressing up as evacuees for their WWII experience day. They have made their ID tags, gas masks and suitcases. This afternoon, they will experience what it is like when the air raid siren starts.
