Let’s see how many Blue Peter badges Perton Primary Academy pupils can achieve. Let us know how you get on….
PS. I’d really love one too! 😊
Blue Peter - Apply for a Blue badge The Blue badge is the most iconic badge in the UK! We can’t be entirely sure how many have been awarded since launching in 1963, but we reckon the number is in the millions. Everyone who appears on the show gets a badge, but here’s a step by step guide for how you can get your hands on one!
Year 1 have had a fantastic time at Dudley Zoo today!
We are delighted to be participating in the ‘First News Day for Ukraine’ appeal.

Perton will be rocking our socks again this year!
Tomorrow children and staff will be wearing odd socks to raise awareness of Down Syndrome.
The 21 March is World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) as declared by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2011.
On this day, people with Down syndrome and those who live and work with them throughout the world organise and participate in activities or events to raise public awareness to create a single global voice advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome.
We can’t wait to see you on Friday 4th March Donna 😊
Children's Mental Health Week is taking place on 7th to 13th February 2022. This year's theme is Growing Together.
We will be encouraging children (and adults) to consider how they have grown, and how they can help others to grow.
Please see the attached pdf and let your class teacher know how many wellbeing activities you can tick off in a week!

To finish off our topic, Muck, Mess and Mixtures, Year 2 created their own art gallery to show case their portraits. We have looked at 3 different techniques, realism, pointillism and surrealism.
The children worked very hard and loved that their parents got to come and view it.
NSPCC Number Day is a fun, nationwide Maths fundraising event for children and young people of all ages that helps raise money to support the NSPCC.
We will be participating in ‘Number Day’ on Friday 4th February in school as we invite children to ‘Dress as a Digit’ for the day!
To help us celebrate we want you to really use your imagination getting the children to ‘Dress as a Digit’.
As we celebrate number day we would suggest a minimum donation of £1 per child to help us raise money for the NSPCC.

Thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to seeing some amazing costumes and outfits.
As part of our Scrumddidlyumptious Topic, Year 3's innovate challenge was to create smoothies. They chose different fruits, created recipes and made them in groups. All Year 3 were extremely open-minded in trying their creations! Well done Year 3!
For Year 2’s topic, Muck, Mess and Mixtures, we have been exploring colour mixing. We identified primary colours and used these to make secondary colours. This will help us create our Art Gallery next week 🎨
We are so proud of you Amelia-Mae. Keep being PERTON! 😁
Today we said goodbye to Mrs Merrick, one of our cleaning staff, as she begins her retirement. You will be missed by all at Perton Academy. Wishing you all the best for your retirement ✨
A fabulous time at the pantomime
Perton Primary Academy are inviting all pupils to take part in 'Decorative Jumper Day' tomorrow!
The whole school will be taking part. You won’t need to splash out on a snazzy new sweater to join the fun-simply decorate an old jumper or just come in something festive e.g. tinsel, a Christmas hat or come dressed up as Father Christmas- it’s up to you.
We are asking pupils to make a £1 donation, or whatever they can give, to help save children’s lives across the world.
Donate via: https://www.justgiving.com/Perton-Primary-Academy1
Come and see our wonderful steel band perform at around 4pm tomorrow at Perton Christmas Fair. 🎵
