We are here to help you investigate your careers options, sort out your career plans and develop the important skills you need to make these plans happen. We offer practical support at all stages of your job applications. The Enterprise Department helps students, graduates and staff to enhance their entrepreneurial skills, which will enhance their employability and personal development. They also help those who have the vision and determination to turn their business ideas into reality. SPEED Plus is our flagship business start-up project offering students and graduates from any course the opportunity to develop their business ideas either alongside their studies or after graduation. The Workplace
We provide access to a range of employment opportunities. Whether you are looking for your first graduate opportunity, a part-time job while you are studying or a placement to enhance your employability skills, we can help you. Active Volunteers
We offer a unique service to all students wishing to put a few hours of their spare time to good use. We have links with over a hundred voluntary and community groups throughout the Black Country, ranging from small volunteer-led groups to large national charities. Opening times
We are open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday all year round (except Bank Holidays). We are also available at Walsall, where we are based alongside the Student Office in WA; times vary at Walsall, so please check before visiting us there.

Are you a Black graduate interested in using your lived experience to make a positive change to your local community? If yes, the National Graduate Development Programme could be of interest to you.

Councils are recognising the value of lived experience in tackling some of the most pressing issues facing your communities such as reducing homelessness, protecting the environment, caring for vulnerable children, and regenerating areas characterised by crime and poverty.

The 24-month programme fast tracks participants to management is fully funded and culminates in an ILM Level 7 qualification in Leadership and Management delivered by SOLACE and the University of Birmingham.

The minimum starting salary is £25,991 and the only pre-application requirement is a 2:2 degree.
