So i asked for advice on a new putter from Luke Manwaring, pga professional at the golf academy as i was convinced that i was using the wrong type. Firstly he fitted me properly. Yes... fitting!!! He said that this is 50% of your game and shouldn't be neglected. How right could he be? He asked me questions on various things such as grip, style of stroke, putting set up, weight of putter, and so on. And after a good 30 mins if input he advised me to go for a face balanced putter and that odyssey are a great style of putter for people such as myself. He suggested the odyssey #7 fang putter. Before ordering one i looked on odysseys website and sure enough there was 'find the right putter for you' interactive guide which again asks various questions such as luke did. Sure enough the putter they recommended to me was the Odyssey #7 fang putter. It could be coincidence... but i think not. Not only is luke and the golf academy team there for giving advice and support they care about what the customer needs, rather than seeing £££ signs everytime a customer walks in such as American Golf. I went there last week and the first putter they showed me was Scotty Cameron..... £300+!!! Needless to say i walked out after 5 minutes. I have used my new putter only today and it is unbelievably good and cant thank luke and his team enough for the advice, honesty and care they have taken over providing me with what i consider 5* service. I wont be going anywhere else for anything to do with golf which is testimont to how good this place really is. Thanks guys...you were fantastic!!👏👏👏
