Students in one of our ESOL classes have made huge strides in their English after an intensive five weeks of study and their tutor has praised the commitment they have shown throughout.
Shakhawan joined the college in September 2025 at pre-entry level and is now preparing to move on to Entry Level 2. He hopes improving his English will help him return to his previous career as a builder and says he now even writes stories at home.
Shamsullah came to college unable to read or write in English and wanted to improve his chances of finding work. He said: “When I came last year, I couldn’t read or write, but now I can.” His dream for the future is to become a doctor.
Awat also joined the course to help him find work and says his growing confidence in English has now made him think about studying IT.
Their tutor said: “They approached it with tenacity, commitment and perseverance. They were dedicated to their study and to the opportunity to progress to the next level in September. I am incredibly proud and humbled by their attitude and achievements.”
If you’d like to find out more about our ESOL courses, send us a DM.
