The past two days have been incredibly special here at the college. We proudly hosted the Greener Solutions, Innovation & Technology Day in collaboration with our friends at Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland. Students had the exciting opportunity to explore eco-friendly technology, discover potential careers, and learn about the latest innovations in the field.

We would also like to thank Monmore Green Greyhound Stadium for their support for our events!

Our Creative Media end of year show has started. Come and see the wonderful work from our Level 2 and 3 Media Students have produced for their Final Major Projects in B5.

If you work in the construction industry, did you know you can retrain to become a fully qualified teacher? You could be eligible for a Levelling Up premium of up to £6,000 for the first five years of your Further Education (FE) teaching career.

Celebrating Art and Design!

We had an exciting turnout for the private viewing of the Wolvcoll Photography showcase last week!

The exhibition is now open to the public and runs until the 21st of June. You can visit it from Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 4pm, at the George Walls Building, University of Wolverhampton.


We are delighted to announce that Louise Fall has been appointed as City of Wolverhampton College's new principal.

Louise, who is currently the college’s deputy principal, will take up the position of principal and chief executive on 1 August 2024 and replaces Mal Cowgill who is stepping down after six years in the role.

Speaking of her appointment, she said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed principal of the college. I am committed to ensuring the college continues to serve the needs of local people and local employers and that we continue to develop courses and apprenticeships to meet local demand.

“There are exciting times ahead with the opening of our new £8.1million Advanced Technology and Automotive Centre in September and the new campus in the City Learning Quarter due to open in September 2025 and I am looking forward to leading the college and its dedicated staff, students and apprentices through the next stage of its development.”

Louise will be supported in the role by Peter Merry, the college’s current deputy chief executive, who has been promoted to the post of deputy principal and chief executive.

Today, we were honoured to welcome Professor Martin Levermore MBE, Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands, to our Wellington Road campus for a Big Lunch.

Our study hub was transformed into a vibrant celebration space, brimming with food, friendship, and fun, attended by our staff, students, community members, partners, and supporters. This event was organised as part of the Eden Project’s Big Lunch initiative.

Those who have completed their courses marked their end-of-year successes with delicious food, fun games, and well-deserved awards.
