Exploring Cultures in Toddler Room🌍
Our toddlers have had a wonderful time learning about different cultures from around the world! We’ve also been encouraging creativity and self-expression by helping the children create beautiful paintings of themselves.
As part of our cultural exploration, the children enjoyed trying new fruits including papaya, mango, and pineapple. Not only was this a fun sensory experience, but it also helped build confidence in trying new foods.
The children have also been developing their fine motor skills by practising safe food cutting activities, helping to strengthen hand coordination and independence.
We are so proud of all their creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning! 🌟

In our Pre-School room, we have focused on the story “The Enormous Turnip”.
We have acted the story out and we have made turnip soup, and painted paper mache of the turnips.
This helped the children enhance their senses of touch and feel whilst experiencing life skills.
Linking to the story, we have also used magnets and played tug of war, teaching the children about forces and helping the children to work together as a team, whilst expanding their vocabulary with new words for big and force. ✨

In our Rising 3’s room, we have been learning about insects and mini beasts such as spiders, bumble bees and ladybirds 🐞
We have been painting the insects whilst experiencing new colours and enhancing our maths skills by counting the number of legs and spots on the insects.
We thought this was a nice day to share this on our page to celebrate World Bee Day today, showing the importance of bees in ecosystems. 🐝

Today we were delighted to welcome local MP Gavin Williamson back to KellyTots! ✨
Gavin originally cut the ribbon to officially open our nursery in 2020, so it was wonderful to welcome him back and show him how much KellyTots has grown and developed over the last 6 years.
To say he was impressed would be an understatement! Our owner, Miss Gill, was proud to personally greet Gavin on his return visit, before Miss Kerry and Miss Tammie showcased the nursery alongside some of our amazing children, making the visit extra special.
Thank you for taking the time to visit us again, Gavin Williamson — we loved sharing our journey with you!

Our Tweenie Room children have been enjoying the story of The Tiger Who Came to Tea this week! 🐯
With the help of our big tiger teddy, the children had lots of fun roleplaying and feeding him all the delicious items from the story.
A lovely way to bring storytelling to life and spark imagination through play! ✨
