🌱 THE JOURNEY TO ME funded by Rotary Club of Wolverhampton

A 5-week mindfulness, breathwork & wellbeing journey for young people aged 13–18

Growing up can feel like a lot.

School. Friendships. Family. Social media. Expectations. Changes. Big emotions. Trying to figure out who you are while everyone seems to have an opinion about who you should be.

The Journey to Me is a safe, welcoming space where young people can pause, breathe and learn practical tools to help them navigate everyday life with greater confidence, self-awareness and emotional wellbeing.

These are interactive mindfulness and breathwork wellbeing sessions, combined with reflection, conversation, creative activities and practical life skills.

Young people will have the opportunity to learn how to:

🌱 Understand themselves and their emotions
🧘 Use mindfulness and breathing techniques to create calm
💭 Notice unhelpful thoughts and develop a kinder inner voice
🗣️ Express themselves and find their voice
💜 Build confidence and self-awareness
🤝 Understand respect, boundaries and healthy relationships
🌊 Navigate change and life’s ups and downs
🎯 Think about their future and the person they want to become

✨ OUR JOURNEY

📅 22nd September
THE STORIES I TELL MYSELF

The stories we tell ourselves can influence how we see ourselves and the world around us.

We’ll explore self-talk, thoughts and beliefs, using mindfulness and reflection to help young people develop a more supportive relationship with themselves.

📅 6th October
FINDING MY VOICE

Learning to express yourself is an important part of growing up.

We’ll explore confidence, communication, speaking up, listening and expressing what we need — while learning to respect ourselves and others.

📅 20th October
WHO AM I BECOMING?

Growing up isn’t just about getting older. It’s about discovering who you are.

We’ll explore identity, values, strengths, choices and the qualities young people want to develop as they grow.

📅 3rd November
RESPECT STARTS WITH ME

Healthy relationships begin with how we treat ourselves and others.

We’ll explore respect, boundaries, communication, kindness and what healthy relationships can look and feel like — at home, at school and with friends.

📅 17th November
MY FUTURE SELF

Who do you want to become?

We’ll use mindfulness, visualisation and reflection to explore hopes, dreams, goals and the future each young person wants to create.

🧘 WHAT HAPPENS IN THE SESSIONS?
Every session will include a combination of:

✨ Mindfulness
🌬️ Breathwork
🧠 Emotional wellbeing education
💭 Guided reflection
🎨 Creative or interactive activities
💬 Group discussion
🌱 Practical tools they can use in everyday life

The aim isn’t to tell young people how they should live.

It’s to give them tools, space and confidence to discover their own way forward.

📍 WHERE?
Bentley Bridge Leisure Centre

🕓 WHEN?
4:00pm – 5:00pm

👥 WHO CAN ATTEND?
Young people aged 13–18.

Parents and carers are welcome to attend alongside their young person.

Please note: parents/carers must book a separate space.

💜 COME AS YOU ARE.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.

You don’t need to be confident.

You don’t need to know exactly where you’re going.

Sometimes, the first step is simply taking a breath…

…and beginning The Journey to Me. 🌱

When grief training becomes more than a certificate…

I’ve just come back from an event where I was talking to people about my Holistic Grief & Loss Support Practitioner Training.

Someone said to me:

“I’ve literally just completed a grief training with someone else.”

And honestly? I didn’t think too much of it.

Until one of my students was standing there and said:

“Your training is TRANSFORMATIONAL.”

And that’s exactly what I want people to understand. ❤️

My training isn’t about memorising the stages of grief, reading a few theories, learning some mindfulness techniques and getting a certificate at the end.

Because let’s be honest… you can Google a lot of that.

My training is about transformation.

It’s practical.
It’s experiential.
It’s about understanding what grief REALLY looks like in real life.

Because grief isn’t just bereavement.

Grief can be:
💔 Relationship breakdown
💔 Job or financial loss
💔 A health diagnosis
💔 Childlessness
💔 Pet loss
💔 Retirement
💔 Life transitions
💔 Identity changes
💔 Loss of a future you thought you were going to have

And before I teach you how to support and transform somebody else’s life…

we transform YOU first.

Because I don’t just teach grief from a textbook.

I know grief.

I’ve lived through it.
I’ve experienced the devastation.
I know how deeply loss can affect a person.

And I bring that lived experience, professional knowledge and practical tools into my training.

And no… my teaching is NOT boring.

I want you finishing each week thinking:

“I can’t wait for the next one!”

I Was Here All Along ❤️

FREE SESSION Healing the Invisible Wound of the Child Who Wasn’t Seen or Heard

What happens to the little version of you who learned to stay quiet?
The child who wasn’t always listened to, understood, comforted or truly seen?

Sometimes those invisible wounds don’t disappear just because we grow up. They can show up in the way we silence ourselves, hide our feelings, struggle to ask for what we need, or feel like our voice doesn’t matter.

Give your inner child a voice. 🗣️❤️

Through somatic movement, breathwork, emotional release and deep reflection, we’ll explore what it means to finally allow ourselves to be seen, heard and held.

And yes… the ladies asked for it, so this one may get LOUD. 🗣️🔥

There will be space to release what has been held inside — through sound, movement and screaming — followed by grounding, connection and compassion.

Because sometimes healing isn’t about going deeper into the pain.

Sometimes it’s about finally saying:

“I see you.
I hear you.
I’m here now.” ❤️

📍 Wednesday 19th August – The Local Hub, Bloxwich
88 Sneyd Lane
⏰ 6:00pm

📍 Friday 21st August – Bentley Bridge Leisure Centre
⏰ 6:30pm

Come as you are.
You don’t have to have the right words.

Your voice matters.
You were here all along. ❤️
