ππ Last Thursday, our Family Celebration Day brought learners, families and staff together for a fantastic day of fun, connection and community spirit! π
From inflatables and sensory activities to games, bubbles and a spectacular performance from Rachel the Bubbleologist π«§β¨, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
A special thank you goes to our amazing PTFA, whose hard work organising stalls, refreshments, the bottle tombola and raffle helped make the day possible. Weβre also incredibly proud of our School Council for their brilliant Beat the Goalie challenge with Executive Headteacher, Ross Ashcroft! β½π₯
If you would like to support future PTFA events through sponsorship, donations, raffle prizes, volunteering or partnership opportunities, weβd love to hear from you. Together, we can continue creating enriching experiences for our autistic learners and their families. ππ

π Congratulations to another group of parents and carers who have successfully completed the National Autistic Societyβs Teen Life Programme! π
The programme was expertly delivered by our Pastoral Team members, Gemma and Heather, providing families with valuable insights, strategies, and support to help navigate the teenage years for autistic young people.
A huge well done to everyone who took part and contributed to such open and supportive discussions. Itβs wonderful to see families learning together and sharing experiences that make a real difference.
π¬ Parent feedback included:
βI enjoyed the course, I learned a lot. I liked that all the other parents shared experiences of their childβs challenges which I could relate to.β
βIt helped a lot to understand teen life and puberty with autistic children. The teachers and parents sharing their experiences will help so much in the future.β
βIt is so important to educate families and parents to understand autism and have more knowledge. We are so grateful.β
βI have really enjoyed the course where I have learned some really good strategies to try with my son. The course is very informative and very well presented.β
Thank you to Gemma and Heather for leading this fantastic programme and to all the parents and carers who took part. Together, we continue to strengthen the support around our young people. π
