History in the making! On Wednesday 8th July, we are proud to host the very first Amethyst Games at Aldersley High School, bringing together students from right across our family of schools.

From individual events to team competitions, our young people will compete for the Cup, the Shield, the Together Award for the standout team, and the Aspire Award celebrating those who excel and represent elite participation in their sport.

This is our community at its very best: ambitious, inclusive and full of team spirit. We cannot wait to cheer them on. Good luck to everyone taking part!

What does a Trustee do at a Trust that includes specialist autism provision?

At Amethyst Academies Trust, the family of schools that Tettenhall Wood School is part of, Trustees set the strategic direction for five schools, hold leaders to account, and ensure strong oversight of everything from finances to safeguarding.

You do not need to be a governance expert. We welcome people from all backgrounds who bring thoughtful perspective and a genuine commitment to children and young people. Full induction and ongoing training provided.

The time commitment is structured and manageable: Board meetings three or more times a year, termly committee work, and around two hours of reading before each meeting.

Applications close midday, Monday 22 June.
