Can you provide this valuable support to dogs in need?

Could you offer a dog a temporary place to call home? 🐾

Some dogs find kennel life particularly difficult and benefit enormously from spending time in a quieter, more familiar home environment. Fostering gives them space to settle, helps us understand their individual needs and prepares them for life with a permanent family.

It may be a short stay, but the difference you make can last a lifetime. Every dog placed in foster care also creates valuable kennel space, allowing us to support another dog who needs our help.

Could you make a difference? Find out more and apply to foster via the link in our bio. 🐶

I now have a lovely little furry companion for when I am studying or doing prep/follow-up work for my students. She may even end up being a therapy dog for those with maths anxiety!?! 😉😄

One of my students was told by her maths teacher that she was 'only capable of a Grade 4'. After 15 months of working with me I'm so pleased to hear that she achieved a Grade 6. 😁

Delighted to say that 5 out of 6 of my students achieved at least a Grade 4 in their GCSE Maths 😁

I have been able to fill my tutoring schedule for 2026-7 simply through word of mouth and after only 18 months of being up and running. As GoDaddy were charging silly money for their mediocre website marketing services I have taken down my website for the time being (after migrating the domain to Porkbun). When I have a moment I will sort out building a new one, but the fact is that it is not a priority.

To find out more information about Upward Maths Tutoring feel free to text me, ideally via WhatsApp, on 07762 239390.

In the meantime I will occasionally post on this FB page regarding progress with my students or feedback from parents, but my main focus is going to be on effectively tutoring the 18 students currently on my books and progressing with my own studies of degree level mathematics.

All the best,
Cat Ward

PS I'm adopting a puppy from Birmingham Dogs Home - Wolverhampton Centre in a few weeks time as well so I'll have my hands full looking after Diglet as well!!!

Well that's my first full academic year of tutoring completed (I started in January 2025) and am delighted to be in the position that my schedule for September 2026 is already full before the summer break has even started. 😃

It's been a great year watching my students gradually improve their skills and grow in confidence, which has been reflected in their school reports and assessment results. Thank you to the parents who have taken the time to write some lovely 5* reviews for me. 😁

I have availability in August for anyone who'd like some 'booster' sessions ahead of the new school year and parents are welcome to add themselves to a waiting list for a slot on my schedule in May/June next year when half a dozen students will finish their Maths GCSE and A-level exams.

Have a lovely summer everyone!

This guy got a D in his A-level maths, which goes to show that although high attainment can undoubtedly make a difference with what you achieve in life it doesn't mean to say that you can't be successful if you miss the grade...

Don't Miss Out!

Whether it's textbooks, fiction or non-fiction this is a great place to find books to add to your shelf. 😁📚📙📕📔📓📖📘📗📒📔📚
I've picked up some great mathematics interest ones in the past in addition to revision guides and the like.
There's also DVDs, CDs, comics, maps, post cards and more...

Cute idea!

Upward Maths Tutoring supported Birmingham Dogs Home - Wolverhampton Centre last year by donating £250 to buy one of the new orthopedic beds they needed for the dogs to rest comfortably in their kennels.
