And welcome to our Pupil Leadership Team!
We have school councillors, oracy champions, sports ambassadors, health champions, reading ambassadors, digital leaders, creativity ambassadors and eco warriors! This year they will be helping us do vital jobs around the school and beyond. We have lots of digital leaders as the year 5/6 contingency of the team are going to be undertaking some specialist training this term to spread the word about online safety. Health champions will continue their work with Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation, reading ambassadors will be trained by Mrs Jones to boost reading for pleasure in school and at home, and eco warriors and creativity ambassadors will be supporting staff in gaining national accreditation for the arts and eco-friendly schools. Oracy champions will continue to promote our oracy curriculum and they have their first appointment tomorrow during Harvest! Sports leaders will represent the school at events and promote sports in school, and school council will continue to improve issues that matter to pupils and the local community. It’s going to be a busy, but hopefully very productive year.

This term, we have started a new session each Friday morning ahead of whole school assembly. We now complete a thirty minute family circle time session in small groups involving mixed year groups. We discuss achievements, well being, values and complete pupil voice and team building activities. We hope that the older pupils can have the opportunity to support the younger pupils in these sessions and beyond.
