We are so proud of our Pre School Mini Medics!

Mini Medics Lesson 1 - I know why I would call for help and how
The children were introduced to Mini Medics today by discussing how they can keep themselves and others safe. We spoke about situations where they might call for help like feeling scared by a stranger or if someone is hurt or has fallen. The children then demonstrated how they would shout for help. We looked at our 'people who help us' puppets to learn about each service that can help us. We also read a book about paramedics to deepen their understanding.

Lesson 2 - I know how to call 999 and my address
Our Mini Medics focused on calling 999 in emergencies. The children learned the importance of this number and practised by pressing 999 on a calculator. We also talked about where they live, and the children repeated their addresses aloud. They understood that if they ever need to call 999, the services may ask for their address, especially if they are lost.
We are so proud of our Mini Medics for their enthusiasm and engagement! Keep up the great work, everyone!
