We have some good news! 🎉
Following a recent Ofsted inspection, we’re delighted to announce that our Nursery has received an Ofsted Good rating! Here are some of the things they had to say about us:
• ‘Children are happy and settled at this nursery because staff are kind, caring and respond well to their individual needs.’
• ‘Pre-school children are supported to make friendships and play cooperatively with others. As a result, all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress in their learning.’
Our Little Explorers have been on a adventure to the local park this morning. 🌳
The children had a mini forest school session with Sara where they collected natural objects such as; flowers, sticks and leaves and used their senses to explore these. 🌻
The children were given the opportunity to explore the open space supporting their physical development and understanding of the world. They also took turns on the swings and slide.
The children had opportunities to extend their vocabulary through the things they observed on their journey, for example; bus, dog, sticks, car, leaves, flower, swings and slide.

This gave the children lot's of opportunity to develop their mathematical language and fine motor skills.

''Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store.
Maybe Christmas perhaps...means a little bit more.'' - The Grinch
It has been a wonderful first Christmas here at Little Pioneers Lanesfield!
Across the setting the children have enjoyed a variety of age and stage appropriate festive activities, we had a magical visit from Santa, a visit from Reverend Rosemary who told the children the story of the first Christmas, our fabulous chef cooked us all a very yummy Christmas dinner and all children enjoyed parties in their rooms.
One of our parents did an amazing job crafting a Grinch mask from scratch and visited the setting in full attire to spread some extra Christmas cheer!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄🎉
