STEVE TURVEY, our brilliant trainer was in Cannock this week delivering Ligature Management at Needwood House.
Staff learned about the risks surrounding self harm behaviours and why they happen but our course ensures staff are confident and competent to remove a Ligature safely should the emergency arises.

Peg feed Pete came out last week to assist staff to learn all about enteral feeding.
Our engineered training tool allows staff to learn about safe feeding of individuals who have a Peg or Pej.
Staff are trained on theory elements but have time to learn the practical applications of safe enteral delivery and how to deal with complications that might arise.
Our open courses model allows staff to be booked onto the course with a minimum of 1 staff up to 12 depending on availability which helps managers juggle the staff rotas.

Sarah Andrews facilitated an EFAW course at our training headquarters in Wolverhampton.
This 1 day course equips anyone with knowledge and understanding of basic first aid conditions and how to PPP PREVENT, PRESERVE AND PROMOTE.

They also learned CPR and how to use a defibrillator.

Enteral feeding training today at Karisa Training head quarters in Wolverhampton.
Peg feed Pete made an appearance to help train the staff competently in PEG and PEJ feeding .
Our training follows recommendations and guidance from RCN & NICE.
staff must be able to complete theory and practical assessments to pass the course.

Yesterday was busy, our super steve was at Ivy Bank Care Home in Kings Norton delivering moving and handling training.
Steve managed to grab a few images to show you the types of robust equipment to safely facilitate moving and repositioning of individuals who are not so mobile as they once was.
Our certification recommends yearly refreshers this enables staff to ensure that they are up to date with current safety recommendations as per HOP7.

Our amazing trainer Sarah facilitated karisa's concise and effective moving and positioning of people course yesterday at our training suite in Wolverhampton.
Here you can see the staff practicing their bed working and hoisting skills to ensure its carried our safely and effectively and in a person centred basis, being mindful of their needs, medical conditions and considering emotions because hoisting can be quite scary.
