We’ve been having a great time this year engaging with the fantastic young people at Broadmeadow Special School in Wolverhampton! Every week we explore different themes such as space and the cosmos, school life and Autumnal weather, all through the medium of music 😊. The enthusiasm shown by everybody has been brilliant and we look forward to more guitar playing, drumming and singing in the weeks to come 🥁🎤🎸🎼🪘

Online Safety News!

Do you know your BBFC and PEGI ratings and why it is so important to be aware of what they are? However, apps and other digital content can not always be classified.

According to PEGI 'Certain apps function as platforms and offer a broad, variable selection of content (e.g. Netflix or Spotify). For these apps, we use the parental guidance icon, alerting parents that while age-appropriate content may be available, the platform may also offer access to content that is not appropriate for children.'

Games such as Roblox now issue this parental guidance icon!

Hello!

We are looking for parents to join our online safety group.

The group meets half termly to discuss the important issues surrounding online safety. So far the group has created social stories about keeping safe online, updated and changed school policy to reflect the needs of our students, and hosted online safety days.

We need parents to have their say on what support they need at home. You do not need to be 'tech savvy', but if online safety is something you are interested in, please contact Noosha (Online Safety Lead).

Next meeting 22 November at 3pm or 28th November at 10 am.
