We had a wonderful time celebrating our students with their families yesterday at our annual Celebration Evening. Thank you to everyone who came, despite the heat (and England game). We ploughed on and gave out awards to outstanding students who excelled not only academically but also in sport, technical subjects, and just overall commitment and fantastic attitude to learning.

Congratulations once again to all the recipients. You have all earned it.

What a wonderful way to end the school year! Congratulations to our Performing Arts department and staff on this fantastic achievement.

It has been no easy feat to meet all the criteria including getting students involved in work behind the scenes including set designs and production, collaborating with primary schools and providing extra-curricular activities.

Following consultation with the local council, our school has been approved for expansion to take in more students for 2027. Read more in the link below.

The council's Cabinet has approved plans to expand Colton Hills Community School. It will create space for an additional 79 Year 7 places from 2027, and 395 permanent places across Years 7-11 by September 2031.

Councillor Jacqui Coogan, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education, said: "Ensuring that every child in Wolverhampton has access to a local, high-quality school place is a key priority for the council, and Colton Hills is one of the best places we can do this in the city."

Julie Hunter, Headteacher of Colton Hills Community School, added: "We are grateful for the support shown by the council and all those involved in bringing these plans to fruition. The expansion and refurbishment will create a modern learning environment that reflects the high aspirations we have for every child."
