What a term it has been at Penn Hall.

We have seen our pupils shine in so many ways - from Charlie, Jessie, and William stepping up as student guides to welcome the Mayor of Wolverhampton and represent Penn Hall brilliantly, to our incredible young people at Raphael's Tea Rooms serving up warm welcomes and delicious food while developing skills that will serve them for life.

Careers Week brought families together over coffee and some genuinely valuable conversations about the future. World Book Week gave us Where's Konrad, staff caught reading everywhere (someone even dipped their toes in the pool), and a whole school that showed just how much it loves a good story.

None of it happens without the team. Every single member of staff has given everything this term, and it shows in every moment, every milestone, and every pupil who has grown because of the people around them.

We are so proud of everyone. Have a wonderful Easter break - rest up, recharge, and we will see you ready for more in the new term.

Huge congratulations to our friends at Moreton School, who have been named one of just 100 ESFA Trailblazer Schools in England - and the only secondary school in the country to be featured nationally. What an incredible achievement.

Our Penn Hall students were proud to be part of the day, joining Moreton for a fantastic pan disability sport session while the ESFA film crew captured it all for ITV.

Our wheelchair basketball players were outstanding. They bonded as a real team, supported each other every step of the way, and showed exactly what sport can do when it is truly inclusive. Absolute winners.

This is what the Amethyst family is all about - schools coming together, celebrating each other, and proving that every child has the potential to achieve greatness.

Well done Moreton. Well done Rising Stars. And well done to every Penn Hall student who gave their all today.

What a day out for our Penn Hall pupils! 🤝

Today our students joined the Moreton School Rising Stars - part of the PSG Rising Stars programme - at Aldersley Leisure Village for a fantastic session of inclusive sport.

Every child at Penn Hall has the potential to achieve greatness, and moments like these are a brilliant reminder of what that looks like in practice. Our pupils were brilliant - engaged, active, and absolutely loving every minute of it alongside their Moreton peers.

Partnerships like this one matter. They open doors, build confidence, and show our young people that they belong in every space they step into.

A huge thank you to Moreton School and the PSG Rising Stars programme for including us. We cannot wait to do it again.

We wanted to share some very positive feedback following the Mayor’s visit to Penn Hall School.
The visit went extremely well, and he was full of praise for the work we do here. He spoke very highly of the way we support our students and families and was clearly impressed by the ethos and practice across the school.
He particularly enjoyed seeing the Sedgwick service in action, spending time talking with both students and staff, and being shown around the school by our student guides, Charlie, Jessie and William, who represented Penn Hall brilliantly. He was also very impressed with the community nurses and the support they offer to our families, including the clinics run within school.
Overall, he was delighted with the visit and has said that he would very much like to come back again in the future.
Many thanks for your support in making the visit such a success.

What a morning at Penn Hall!

Our Mad Hatters Tea Party breakfast was a huge hit today, with the room packed full of smiling faces and very special guests. The Queen of Hearts made a grand entrance, we had our very own Mad Hatter and even the Mayor popped in to join the fun.

It was wonderful to see our whole school community coming together for such a magical event. Moments like these are what Penn Hall is all about - celebrating together, belonging together and making memories that matter.

Can you spot all the special guests?

Don't forget, our special Mother's Day breakfast service is next Friday. We can't wait to welcome even more guests!

We sent out a search party during World Book Week and caught our amazing staff reading all over the building! 📚

From classrooms to corridors, our team were spotted enjoying a good book at every turn. One member of staff even took it to the next level - dipping their toes in the hydrotherapy pool for a poolside read!

At Penn Hall, reading opens doors to new worlds, and our staff are the most wonderful role models for our pupils. When the grown-ups love reading, our children see that the magic of books is for everyone.

"I have travelled through time and lived many lives. This is the magic of reading."
