Today the Jelly tots have made flower 🌷 soup.
Filling and emptying containers in early years is a crucial development activity that builds foundational cognitive, motor and spatial skills. Children use this play to explore cause and effect, gravity and concepts of capacity, ( full verses empty) It strengthens hand eye coordination and fine motor control.

Today the jellybeans have made bird feeders
Using toilet roll holders lard and bird food.
Learning about nature in early years through direct exploration in parks gardens and other outside areas promotes holistic development by boosting mental health, physical fitness and social skills. It enhances cognitive development , imagination and curiosity.

The Jelly beans have been using their name cards and our colourful keyboard to copy the letters in their name.
Recognising letters in preschool is a skill that predicts future reading success, spelling ability and comprehension. It helps children transition from recognising shapes to understanding that symbols represent sounds enabling them to decode words and build phonemic awareness this is crucial for literacy.

The staff are encouraging babies to reach for objects that have been taped down for today’s activity.
Reaching for objects in early years is a foundational development milestone that builds critical physical, cognitive and sensory skills. It helps with hand eye coordination, strengthens motor muscles and introduces cause and effect thinking.

The Jelly tots are doing a dress up day today as part of their topic Me myself and my family, to let the children exspress themselves in what that choose to wear.
Dress up is crucial for developing imagination, social skills and emotional intelligence while also helping with fine motor skills through zipping and fastening buttons and helping towards dressing independently.
