Lots of my students love animals and often their pets have made an appearance in our lessons.
Dogs have joined in with us.
Birds have come to say “Hello”.
Cats have also come to listen in on our lessons.
I never know what animal is going to make an appearance but I do know it makes my students feel more at ease.
Animals can bring a sense of calm for students especially if they have been through anxious times at school or otherwise.
Animals teach children to be patient and kind.
Do you notice a difference with your child when an animal or their pet is near them?

For some children, the classroom environment can feel overwhelming.
Busy classes
Lots of noise
Lots of expectations within each lesson
Not enough time to do each task
Always feeling in a rush

Say Hello to "Jenna the jedi of tutors".
Last week, during one of my lessons with a home ed student, they very kindly asked me if they could make a clay version of me.
My student asked me lots of questions about what colour my hair and eyes were, whether I wanted to wear a dress or top and trousers.
After our lesson, I got an email from my student's parent and they sent me the picture of what their child had made.
I love it!
