Low Hill Nursery School

Low Hill Nursery School

The kids got a new light table… and today has been a light table kids afternoon!!
Kenetic sand, then the mirror tile/sheets came, we put them up and it looks epic, and the kids love it too ❤️🥰!!
Olivia did some Easter painting today 🐥🐣🐰.

She then posed and said “cheese” as she wanted to take a picture with her painting! ❤️
Joseph treated us to a song today in the car… ❤️. Can you guess what he’s singing?? 🥰
We love to try and promote independence & small life skills to Olivia, by giving her small tasks to do, this is one of her favourites is feeding her cat ‘Boo’ some treats… she always lays down and make sure she’s eaten her treats. Today Olivia also got her snack and sat and ate with Boo 🥰🥰.
These two are still feeling poorly, but today we did some fruit cutting both of the kiddos really enjoyed doing this, it also got Joseph to touch strawberries which he normally won’t ❤️
Olivia & Joseph have spent Sunday blowing & popping bubbles at Grandma & Grumpys ❤️!

Olivia was proud of herself that she was able to blow the bubbles herself 🎉
Reggie loved his kidney bean he planted at nursery so much he takes it in his room when he goes to sleep he waters it every day and puts it in the window when its sunny so today we replanted it so it can continue to grow 🌿🌱🥰
Joseph surprised us today with letter matching and he was enjoying this game 😍😍
Joseph has learnt how to sign more and is doing it most times he’s asking for a drink 🥰💙!! Huge thank you to the amazing Ellie & Gag and the rest of the Daisy room for helping us keep the consistency between school & home 🥰💙
Merry Christmas to all the staff at Low Hill, We hope you have an amazing day! Lots of Love, Me, Holly, Olivia & Joseph 🎄🎅🏼🎁
We’ve had a fantastic week off school with a lot of sensory activities and Christmas activities 🎄❄️🎅🏼… kids have had fun ❤️🥰
We’ve been practicing some of the Advent makaton signs 🥰…

🇬🇧The children made their own cakes & scones and enjoyed eating them at our party

🇬🇧The children were visited by the "Queen" and enjoyed saying hello. Thank you Angie & Crystal❤

❤️This week we have been overwhelmed with the support that LHNS has received from the wider community!

❤️We have received two amazing donations this week to support our food bank! One of the donations recieved came from Steve Crane

❤️He commented...
“So, the last good deed for the Kris Boyd Charity Bike Ride 2022 was to find a suitable home for all the food we had remaining from our 4-days of cycling to Scotland.
The lovely people who run a food bank from Low Hill Nursery School are going to redistribute it.”

❤️Before half term we were contacted by Gita who works for Natwest. Gita explained that Natwest give staff members time each year to support in the community and wanted to help LHNS

❤️The team from Natwest did an amazing job...tidying up the garden area near the library

❤️If you would be interested in volunteering to support the food bank or supporting the Nursery to maintain areas such as "The Strawberry Patch" allotment please speak to Natalie, Shell or Sam

❤️We can't wait to see you today

🌍At LHNS we are advocates of life long learning!

🌍Today all of the staff at LHNS took part in a development day led by Floyd Woodrow

🌍Floyd provided the staff with opportunities to reflect and discuss how teams grow & develop together.

🌍This can be achieved when a team is working towards the same goals or super north star!

🌍If you can dream it you can do it ❤
