Mass was a wonderful way to start a lovely day in school on the Feast of Year 2’s Class Saint’s day. Fr Gerry encouraged us to pray for others and to find the joy in the tasks we do so that we can offer these to God. We each thought of little ways to make a difference to those around us and went forth with that mission.

Nursery children and their families enjoyed hearing their focus text Owl Babies for the first time. The classroom was dark, we could hear sounds of owls hooting and the owls home, a hole in the tree was created in the classroom. Everyone joined in with Bill's phrase "I want my mummy!" After the story we made Owl Babies puppets so that we could retell the story at home.

Year 1 enjoyed making glasses so they could look even harder to find God in His wonderful Creation. We found Him in the trees, grass, sunflowers, ladybirds and leaves.

On this feast day of the Archangels, we have focussed on giving messages of hope, just like our Trust patron St Gabriel. Today we marked an incredible and valued 30 years of service for Mrs Barratt, surprising her in the dining hall. Thirty years of service to one community is an incredible gift. Her service goes far beyond the role, she is part of the story of this school and today we enjoyed thanking her for her service.
Pupils have also planted our blessed 'Gabriel Rose' to nurture and grow in our prayer garden in school. Like the rose, we pray that our whole school community flourishes this year
St Gabriel- the Archangel, pray for us.
Thank you St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi-Academy Trust for a gift for us to nurture and grow.

Who knows what these moments will inspire these young people to go on to achieve and do. How they look up to you. Thank you Manny Singh Kang! SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary Academy and Nursery loved the build up, following your experience at every school, cheering and dancing you on from Claregate with a whole school party 🥁 🎶 and seeing you over the finish line with your family. 🏃🏽‍♀️👏
