This week, both Year 4 and Year 5 have been busy completing the final pieces for their collaborative art projects.

The individual creations will soon be brought together to form larger display pieces that our children and school community can be proud of. We can't wait to share the finished results with you!

A huge thank you to all of the parents, carers and family members who joined us throughout the project. Your support helped make the experience even more meaningful and special for the children.

๐ŸŽจ Year 5
Year 5 explored the values that are important within their families. Children filled sheets of paper with words and phrases that represent their family values, such as love, honesty, kindness and respect. They then transformed these into impressive 3D artworks, creating a visual celebration of what matters most to them.

๐ŸŒˆ Year 4
Inspired by the work of artist Julio Le Parc, who uses colour and movement to take the viewer's eye on a journey, Year 4 designed and created their own vibrant artwork. After developing six different design ideas, each child selected their favourite to paint onto a card tile. These tiles will be combined to create a colourful installation that will take visitors on a journey around the Year 5 classroom next year.

We are incredibly proud of the creativity, thoughtfulness and effort shown by all of the children.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ Community Games Baton Journey ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

This week, SS Peter and Paul proudly took part in the Wolverhampton Community Games Baton Journey.

We were delighted to receive the baton from Palmers Cross Primary School, whose pupils arrived full of energy and enthusiasm, ready to run, hop, skip and gallop the baton through our school and complete a fitness workout led by some of our children. Every child had the opportunity to see and wave the baton, creating a real sense of excitement and community spirit.

The baton then continued its journey as our pupils proudly carried it onwards to St Michael's Primary School, helping to connect schools across the city through sport, teamwork and celebration.

A huge thank you to everyone involved. The event was a wonderful opportunity to promote being active, working together and celebrating the values of the Community Games. We wish St Michael's all the best as they continue the baton's journey across Wolverhampton! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Our school will always be proud to attend the annual memorial Tony McGinn football tournament and this yearโ€˜s team did us proud. Their progress through each game in the group, their sportsmanship and team spirit demonstrated the spirit of this event perfectly. Tony was a passionate and skilled teacher, in the classroom and on the sideline of the football pitch. It was a privilege to take the team today personally to remember a much missed and fondly remembered friend and colleague. Well done team, well done ConnectEd

Summer sports are well underway at SS Peter and Paul! ๐ŸŽพ

Today, selected Year 3 and Year 4 children had a fantastic time developing their tennis skills at the โ€˜Racket Festivalโ€™ held at Newbridge Tennis Club.

The children showed great teamwork, determination and enthusiasm throughout the event, whilst learning new skills and enjoying a range of exciting activities. A huge well done to all of the children for representing our school so positively! ๐ŸŒŸ

What a fabulous morning Year 3 have had as part of their Art project! The children have been busy designing their own pieces of fabric using maps, colours, words and symbols that represent their culture and heritage.

We are really looking forward to seeing all of the individual pieces come together to create one beautiful class piece of artwork.

A huge thank you to all of the parents who were able to join us this morning. It was such a positive experience and truly reflected the strong sense of family at SS Peter and Paul, with home and school working together to make the childrenโ€™s artwork so meaningful and special. ๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŒโค๏ธ
