Join us on our stroller walk tomorrow at King Georges Playing Fields in Bloxwich. Enjoy a walk around the park, have fun on the swings in the playground and make a splash in our splashpad! The walk starts from 11am and consists of one or two laps around the park 🌳

Exercising in high temperatures can place additional stress on our bodies.🥵☀️

Here are a few tips to ensure you can keep exercising safely and effectively during the hot weather:

✅ Sip water throughout the session, even if not feeling thirsty!

✅Avoid exercising during the hottest parts of the day

✅Try switching from cardio based work to resistance based exercise - which can provide more rest intervals and will enable you to maintain a lower heart rate

✅Allow extra rest

✅Monitor heart rate - exercising in heat can mean heart rate increases higher than normal

✅If temperatures are extremely high, postpone the session - one session missed, won't make a significant difference to your goals, but may protect your health!

⚠️If you have heart problems or breathing difficulties , it's best to avoid exercise during hot weather. So put your feet up in the shade and sip something cold 😎
