Today we have been enjoying lots of conversations about football, so with the FIFA World Cup having started, we decided to organise a sweepstake with our Friday children.
Each child chose a team and then matched it to our sweepstake sheet. Some children needed more support than others to recognise team names, find their country, and match it correctly.
Over the coming weeks, we will watch highlights together, look at the scores, discuss how the teams are doing, and track their progress through the tournament.
What is my child learning from this?

We are looking forward to following the tournament together and finding out which team wins our sweepstake!
