What a wonderful first day back!

The school has been full of happy faces, busy minds and excited chatter as our children returned after the summer break. 💛

For some, it was their very first day at school and a brand-new adventure; for others, it was a joyful reunion with friends, teachers and familiar surroundings.

From role play and building to sharing news, writing, cooking and exploring technology, there has been so much learning, creating and discovering happening already! 🧱✏️🍰💻

And can we just say how fresh, smart and grown-up everyone looked after the summer break! 👏✨

We have also been incredibly proud of the fantastic behaviour seen right across school. Our children have settled beautifully, shown kindness, enthusiasm and curiosity, and reminded us once again what makes our school such a special place to be.

As another wonderful academic year comes to an end, we would like to say a huge thank you to all our families for your thoughtful cards, generous gifts, kind wishes, and the many lovely comments you’ve shared with us. Your support and appreciation mean so much.

It has been an absolute pleasure supporting your children throughout this year. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and feel privileged to have been part of their journey.

We wish you all a fantastic summer holiday filled with fun, laughter, rest, and special memories. Take time to relax, unwind, and enjoy every moment together.

🏁 Gathering of the Goblins 2026 🏁

Our Year 6 Go Kart representatives showed incredible dedication from the very start, with an early morning arrival at Goodwood Motor Circuit, ready to take on the day. They worked brilliantly as a team, learning how the go-karts operate, supporting one another and preparing for each race with focus and determination.

The event is hosted by the Greenpower Education Trust who wants to inspire young people to become enthusiastic about science and engineering by challenging them to design, build and race electric cars.

Our team truly outdid themselves, competing against schools from across the surrounding counties, with one team travelling all the way from Australia! They demonstrated resilience, teamwork and fantastic sportsmanship throughout the event.

These go-karts were originally purchased through FOFMP, and this year we were incredibly fortunate to receive amazing support from our Year 6 parents. We can’t thank them enough. One parent stepped in as our go-kart mechanic, while another kindly transported both go-karts to Goodwood Motor Circuit. With our families cheering from the sidelines, the team felt supported every step of the way.

A huge well done to our wonderful Year 6 team. You represented our school brilliantly, showing determination, excellent behaviour and outstanding sportsmanship. We are so proud of you all! 🏎️⚡

Keeping Cool at FMP! 🍉☀️

A huge thank you to our wonderful Friends of FMP (FOFMP) for treating everyone to refreshing ice lollies, and to our generous Year 2 parents for donating cucumber and watermelon for the children to enjoy. Your kindness is greatly appreciated! 💚

With the warm weather here, our staff have been busy finding creative ways to help children stay cool, comfortable and ready to learn. Across the school, children have been making their own fans, bringing fans from home, using cooling towels, dipping their feet in water trays, enjoying water play activities and visiting our water hydration stations throughout the day.

Most importantly, our children have continued learning, laughing and spending time with their friends while staying safe in the sunshine. ☀️💦

Thank you to our whole school community for helping us make these warm days enjoyable for everyone!

We are so grateful for the passion, care and commitment our team shows each and every day. Thank you for inspiring, encouraging and helping our children to grow, learn and believe in themselves.

Some of our amazing FMP staff members are still hiding around the school, waiting to be discovered by our eagle-eyed children. The search continues tomorrow!

Today we're celebrating the incredible team at FMP! 💙

Every day, our staff bring energy, enthusiasm, kindness and dedication to everything they do. Whether they're teaching lessons, supporting learning, helping children overcome challenges, preparing resources, keeping our school running smoothly, or simply sharing a smile, they make a lasting difference to the lives of our children.

At lunchtime, it was wonderful to welcome families onto the field for a picnic with their children. With music playing, some children and staff enjoyed an impromptu dance together!
What stood out most was the incredible sportsmanship shown by our pupils. Throughout the day, children cheered on their friends, encouraged one another, celebrated successes and shared countless high fives. We were so proud to see our school values shining through in every event.
A huge thank you to all our staff, families and supporters who helped make the day such a success. Most importantly, well done to every child for taking part with such enthusiasm, positivity and team spirit! 🌟

🏏 The cricket team showed fantastic determination in their matches against St Paul’s Junior School today. After a tough loss in the first game, they bounced back brilliantly to win the second, securing an overall draw. We were especially proud of the excellent sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive attitude displayed throughout both matches. A great effort from everyone involved! 👏
