All dental healthcare professionals are required by GDC regulations to undertake verifiable Continued Professional Development (CPD) in the following areas: Medical Emergencies, Infection Control, Radiography/Radiation Protection, Legal & Ethical Issues and Complaints Handling. National Diploma in Dental Nursing, which is the professional qualification required to become a registered dental nurse in the UK
Certificate in Orthodontic Nursing, an additional skill required by dental nurses to work in an Orthodontic practice

Radiography Course, an additional skill for dental nurses working in this area
Fluoride Application Course, an additional skill for dental nurses
Dental Impression Taking Course, for registered dental nurses and dental hygienists who are required to take dental impressions of patients under the prescription of a dentist. Cross-Infection/Contamination Course for the entire dental team

First Aid at Work, for all dental professionals requiring additional first aid skills

In addition to delivering dental training, Connect-Dental will provide a specialist recruitment service for the dental market. Connect-Dental’s office and training centre is located in Wokingham City Centre, an approximate 6 minute walk from the train station. This is an excellent location, commutable from London but also with excellent access to the midlands, south and west of the country, due to its extensive road and rail network. Reading is a very popular business hub and will provide an excellent catchment area for our business. The office is fully serviced, up to date and modern and provides an excellent training facility as well. We provide a balanced, flexible approach to training, supporting theoretical knowledge with practical application and employing a variety of teaching methods, including group discussions, workshops, project work and presentations.
