ITS A DOUBLE FACT DAY! We’ve been ssssoooooo busy with our educational visit this week I forgot about yesterday 🫣

Hairy noses! Reindeer have the softest, but furriest nose. Their nose being covered in fur, with extra blood vessels flowing through it and the inner structure of their nose acts as a heater warming the freezing cold air before it hits their lungs.

Reindeer are the only deer species to have been successfully and widely domesticated. Reindeer have been intertwined with humans for thousands of years and across Scandinavia are heavily relied upon day to day.

The reindeer we have are domesticated, which means the animals have evolved alongside humans to live with one another, often providing something such as transport or food.

What a fantastic week we’ve had ❤️

The boys have been having a fab time, look how comfy they’ve been getting 🥰

Educational reindeer visits and some local public visits this week. We’ve met so many lovely people and had some super exciting talks about reindeer! We always want you to get more than just a photo when we meet you. Our goal is to have everyone leave having a gained some knowledge of our fantastic animals! Thank you so much!
