Starting the week right with a lovely confidence-boosting session today. Absolutely loved the autumn one resources from for some year 4 preparation work.

I know I say it every time I have a session, but I just can’t get over how amazing this girl’s resilience and desire to learn. The confidence filled smile at the end of our session today, was heart warming 😍

Couple of my favourite photos from the last few sessions. Both of these sessions began with setting targets for the next few weeks, providing the girls with the opportunity to take ownership over their learning. Being able to tell the time and confidence with their timetables were the two big ones that came up! So more consolidation is needed, but these two girls worked admirably, showing amazing resilience!

If you know me, you know I love maths! Especially lower KS2 maths… so I loved today’s session with going over multiplication to feel confident going into Year 4!

Lovely session with this girlie today. Working on synonyms within our writing to create a character description. Our new favourite word is ‘aloof’… I wonder if we’ll remember it and use it next week!

Had a wonderful session today with a friend’s daughter. We did a one off session revising (and building confidence with) telling the time! And naturally, we finished with some times table practise!

Maths. Maths. Maths!
I get far too excited when a new pupil tells me they struggle with maths. It means we can spend ages talking about new strategies and tricks to help us in the future. Had a wonderful session with a family friend today to prep her for year 4! Such a fabulous learning attitude 🤩

Yesterday, my time at my first school ended with an (extremely) emotional day. I’ve been truly and utterly spoilt today… my car is full and I don’t have the stamina to completely empty it just yet 😅
It’s been full of highs and lows but my six years here have ended. Excited to start the new chapter ahead of me in September, where I will embark upon my SENCO qualification! ☺️🎉
