What a final day it has been here at NMR… Staff took on our awesome Year 6s in a cricket match, trophies were handed out - well done Ventus for winning the house cup! 🏆 And we gave the biggest cheer as our Year 6 pupils left their NMR classrooms for the last time, stepping into their next adventure at secondary school.

A huge goodbye and good luck to pupils and staff who are finishing their time with us — including our brilliant Head teacher Mr Whitaker who has been incredible over the last 3 years, supporting and bringing out the best in our school community.

What a fantastic morning of netball! Today our Year 6’s took on NMR Staff members in a closely contested match with both teams giving it their all. The final score was 7-5 to the staff, a result which shows how close and competitive the game was! Huge thank you to our pupils for coming along and being so vocal in their support, creating a wonderful (loud) atmosphere 🤩

☀️ Hot Weather - PE Kits ☀️

As advised in the newsletter, pupils are advised to wear their PE kits to school this week.

Please apply sunscreen before school and send children in with named water bottles which can be refilled throughout the day and ensure they bring in named sun hats.

A huge thank you to everyone in our wonderful Nine Mile Ride community who joined us for last week's Sports Day. It was especially lovely to see our older pupils cheering on, helping and supporting the younger years, showing what fantastic team players they are.

Thank you also to The Coffee Van run by 2 of our amazing parents, who did not stop all day and kept us going with delicious smoothies, frappes, cakes and snacks. They have very generously donated all profits from Sports Day to Friends of Nine Mile Ride Primary School, the charity that raises funds and organises events to support our pupils.

We appreciate your ongoing support 😍

A huge thank you to Friends of Nine Mile Ride Primary School for organising this week's Superheroes Gift Shop. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience which was held in our new Outdoor Learning Classroom.

If you would like to purchase anymore gifts, a pop up shop will be held next Friday 19th June at 3pm.

Today pupils and staff at Nine Mile Ride took part in the Mini Marathon! Everyone enjoyed the sunshine as they walked, jogged and ran around the school grounds, showing great teamwork throughout the day.

Well done to everyone who took part, you were amazing! We would also like to thank everyone who has sponsored our school community, your generosity and support is greatly appreciated. Wishing you all a wonderful half term ☀️

Year 1 had an awesome time on their trip to LEGOLAND! They took part in an exciting ‘Build a Castle’ workshop which linked into their History learning this term about castles and dungeons. Pupils loved designing and building their structures and then explored Mini Land spotting different buildings and features 🤩
