As many of my Klub Kreative community are aware, 2026 has been an incredibly tough year for me and my family. In early March I was diagnosed with cancer and, in the same week, I underwent a life-saving operation. I am currently unable to run my in-person club due to my ongoing therapies including chemo and radiotherapy.

I miss running my in-person classes so much; I miss all my incredible families who come to me week after week and all the fantastic children I have the pleasure of working with. Thanks to everyone who has sent messages of support; it means the world.

Whilst I am unable to run in-person sessions, I am able to offer 3 pre-recorded online STEM science courses which may help bridge the gap until I am able to return (details in photos below). Any courses purchased will really help my family at this tough time. Comment for details 🙂

Many thanks everyone,

Kat @ Klub Kreative

🧩 🎸 Week 5 of Klub Kreative 🎸 🧩

🧩 In art club we celebrated ‘National Puzzle Day’ (29th Jan). The children had free rein to create whatever they wanted today- they are such a creative bunch! They then had fun dismantling and remaking their puzzles in the session!

🎸In science club, we continued our topic on ‘sound’. The children re-capped that all sounds begin with a vibration as well as the term, ‘pitch’. We studied the parts of a guitar anddiscussed how the pitch is affected by how tight the strings are stretched, as well as the thickness of the strings. The children then set about constructing their guitars! The children were able to achieve different pitches on their guitars thanks to some tight and lose elastic bands!

‼️ We have ONE week left of the block until Feb half term. I am fully booked for art club. I have a couple of spaces remaining for science club next week (Tues 10th Feb) so if you fancy coming along before a new block starts, please pop me a message.

⭐️ To all my regulars, what did your children learn or enjoy most this week?

🐧👂Week 4 of Klub Kreative 👂🐧

🐧In art club we celebrated ‘Penguin Awareness Day’ (20th Jan). We used collage techniques to create a beautiful tissue paper sky and ripped white paper to create ice in the background, mid-ground and foreground. I love how the children all create something so unique and different every week- the addition of the penguin families (inc the babies!) were fab!

👂 In science club we continued our topic on ‘sound’ and looked at pitch. We first learned the difference between high and low pitches and then did a carousel of activities including playing glockenspiels, exploring milk bottle carousels, playing recorders, sliding whistles and more! We ended the session by making our own panpipes and straw whistles!

I am currently fully booked for art club (but please contact me anyway in case trial families do not wish to continue the block!) and I have very limited spaces for science club. Next trial 27th Jan.

⭐️To all my regulars, what did your children learn this week or enjoy the most? Did they continue any learning at home?

‼️ To science clubbers, please remember to bring a tissue box/small shoe box/cereal box and a kitchen roll tube for each child next week. I did remind you over the Xmas holidays but know it’s been a while! Please bring any spares in case anyone is short!

See you next week! 🙂

🔥👂Week 2 of Spring Block 1👂 🔥

🔥 In art club we celebrated Lohri, the joyful North Indian harvest festival that marks the end of winter and the arrival of longer, sunnier days! Traditionally celebrated with bonfires, music, and dance, the children got creative making bonfire cups to capture the warmth and festive spirit of Lohri. 🔥

👂In science club we continued our journey into sound! The kids explored the anatomy of the ear, including the outer pinna, by recreating the parts using Play-Doh. We also examined ears from different animals, discussing how their shape, size, and placement help them capture sound effectively. The children then designed their own animal ears with super hearing powers! 🐰🦉 🦘🐘

If you would like to join us next week on Tuesday 20th Jan for a trial session, please message ASAP to book your space! Places are VERY limited.

🎉🥳 Happy New Year! 🥳🎉

We had a wonderful start to Spring Block 1 at Klub Kreative this week!

Here’s a recap of Week 1:

💥 Art Club
We welcomed the New Year by creating explosion and firework-inspired artwork using acrylic paints and straws. The results were truly stunning – every piece was completely unique and full of character.

👂 Science Club
We kicked off our new topic on sound. After a fun ‘Guess the Sound’ activity, the children learned how we hear. They discovered that all sounds begin with a vibration, which causes surrounding air particles to vibrate too. These vibrations travel through the air as sound waves and are detected by our ears.

The children explored vibrations in action through hands-on experiments, including:

1) Placing tuning forks in water to observe vibrations
2)Making rice jump on cling film by banging a drum
3) Using their voices to make pipe-cleaner “snakes” spin on cling film

‼️ Spaces are LIMITED at Klub Kreative. If you would like to book a no-obligation trial next Tuesday 13th January, please comment below or message me directly as soon as possible.

⭐️ To my wonderful regulars at Klub Kreative, what did your children enjoy learning about this week?
