Providing quality childcare for all children aged 2-5yrs. We have 3 settings in Old Woking. Offering childcare for all children aged 2-5yrs.

Foundations Community Pre-School is a Private Limited Company, formed in 2010. The Pre-School is held St Peter’s Church Centre, in Old Woking and New Life Church, Old Woking and Westfield Primary School, Old Woking. We offer a stimulating and inviting place for the children to settle, learn and develop. The Pre-School is open 38 weeks of the year (term time only) with a range of morning and afternoon sessions. At Foundations Community Pre-School we provide quality childcare and education for children in a warm, caring and stimulating environment. Each child is unique and will be regarded as an individual, being encouraged to develop at their own pace and in accordance with their own stages of development. The children are treated with equality of opportunity and with the utmost respect. Their happiness and well-being is paramount. We aim to create a Christian ethos and give priority to Christian teaching where relevant within the curriculum. Although not all staff are churchgoers, all are sympathetic to the Christian ethos. We are open to all children regardless of their family’s religious beliefs or affiliations.

A Little Corner of Calm…

Our book corner and calm down corner have had a lovely little makeover, and the children are already making themselves at home!

With cosy cushions, twinkling fairy lights, inviting books and a peaceful atmosphere, our revamped book corner is the perfect place to curl up with a story, explore new adventures or simply enjoy a quiet moment.

Alongside this, our calm down corner provides a gentle, supportive space where children can recognise and explore their emotions, practise calming strategies and begin to develop the skills to manage their feelings.

At Foundations, we know that sometimes little minds need a little quiet.

These spaces are about so much more than looking cosy. They’re about nurturing a love of reading, supporting emotional wellbeing and helping children feel safe, secure and confident in their environment.

And judging by the smiles, we think our little readers approve!

We have been out and about this afternoon promoting our upcoming open day! We couldn’t resist a little stop at the shop 😊

Our children have been enjoying the first meals from our new chef Will Nelson , freshly prepared each day in the kitchen at our St Peter’s setting before being delivered to children across all three Foundations sites.

The food has looked and smelled absolutely delicious – and judging by these photos, the children certainly agree! 🥦🥕🍚

Our lunches are designed to provide a healthy, balanced meal, while encouraging children to explore different foods, enjoy plenty of vegetables and develop positive attitudes towards mealtimes.

A brilliant start for our new chef – we think there are going to be lots of happy little diners!

💙 Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Our little artists have been busy creating something very special for the important grown-ups in their lives.

There’s something so precious about seeing the world through a child’s eyes – colourful drawings, wobbly letters, and a whole lot of love poured into every masterpiece.

We hope all of our dads, grandads, uncles, and father figures enjoy their handmade gifts and know just how much they are loved and appreciated.

Thank you for all the bedtime stories, shoulder rides, silly games, big cuddles, and endless support. ❤️

🐝 Happy World Bee Day from Foundations 🐝

Today we’ve been busy little bees exploring all things buzzing and brilliant! From bee printing and pattern making to fine motor activities and creating our very own fluffy bees, the children have loved getting creative while learning about these important pollinators. 🌼

Activities like these help to develop fine motor control, concentration, creativity and early problem-solving skills - all through play and exploration.
